We do like to welcome you personally, in order to show you around and to outline some of the workings. We have an absolute mine of local information, on places to visit or eat, how to get there and what you may see on the way. Just ask us at any time. We are very approachable and we actively want to help you get the best from your break. However, we won't be knocking on your door, nor would we be entering while you're not there. We'll take in your supermarket delivery on arrival day, just tell us the expected time. We have all sorts of spare and extra equipment etc, should you need to borrow. Simply ask us for anything.

About the neighbourhood
Brading, one of the oldest settlements on the Island now boasts four pubs - each with very different character - a decent sized Costcutter, the historic Town Hall by St Mary's Church as well as quite possibly the best chip shop on the Island.
It is well placed for easy access to visit beaches, resort towns and the many attractions of the Island.
Set by the wetlands leading to Bembridge Harbour, yet nestling against the chalk down, it offers a wide range of walks and outings, as varied as you could hope for.
The county town of Newport is a scenic drive of twenty minutes, Sandown town and main beach is but a mile and a half. Ryde and Shanklin for their shops and beaches four miles each.
Something for everybody, surely.
Getting around
Foinavon is well positioned for touring the Island, sitting by the main tourist corridor from Ryde to the resort towns of Sandown, Shanklin and Ventnor and close to an easy, quiet, scenic road to both Newport at the centre, and to the north and west of the Island. Good bus routes pass by as well, allowing easy travel. (buy a 'package' ticket to save money).
There are many footpaths and bridlepaths very close by, giving access to some glorious countryside and beaches.
We have written up some touring and sightseeing routes for you, which take you on scenic, yet convenient circular routes.
