Situated in one of the most perfect locations in Lagos. Bars and restaurants are in the vicinity of the apartment, which is also across the road from the award winning Marina de Lagos, where there are many great bars and restaurants. The apartment is also across the road from the Saturday market where traders sell there locally produced goods, and it is a 5 minutes walk from the historic Lagos centre.
Almost any kind of water sports are available across the road at the Marina de Lagos.
Lagos has lots of bars and restaurants and nearly all are English speaking. There are four golf course within 10 kilometres of the apartment.
The bus station is 150 metres away and the railway station is 300 metres from the apartment. There is a bus stop right outside the door.

About the neighbourhood
A perfect location for a holiday stay. The marina is across the road and over the footbridge (about 250 metres). There is a local grocery shop (100 metres) that sells lots of local produce at very good prices. The nearest supermarket is 200 metres and there are many bars and restaurants within a 2 minute walk from the apartment. Lagos centre is less than a 5 minute walk away. Within 200 metres from the apartment you can eat traditional Portuguese food, Italian & Indian foods. On the marina the restaurants serve Portuguese, Italian & Chinese. The nearest beaches are Praia da Batata (a beautiful 7-10 minute walk down the avenida which runs alongside the River Bensafrim) and Maia Praia (10 minute walk).
Getting around
From the apartment there are plenty of places to walk - the marina, the beaches, Lagos centre etc. If you do want to hire a car for a couple of days, there is the Marina Car Rental office just 50 metres from the back door of the apartment building. If you want to hire a bicycle, there is a bike hire shop barely 100 metres from the back door.
A road train, which costs about 3 euros return, will take you up to the beauty spot, Ponta da Piadade, or will drop you off at any point in-between,
A supermarket is 200 metres away and a small corner shop which stocks everything fresh and locally produced produce is hidden around the corner in another street and is 50-60 metres away from the back door.

Airport: Faro: 80.0 km
Railway: Lagos: 0.2 km
Driving: From Faro airport, you get onto the A22 (Via de Infante) and drive for approximately 50 minutes until you reach the turnoff for Lagos East. At the end of the 3km slip road, turn right. Drive for 4km (though Chinnicato) until you come to a large roundabout (where there is a police station). Take the third turning & drive for 300 metres, passing MacDonalds until you reach another large roundabout (the ship roundabout). Take the third turning & drive for two hundred metres to the next roundabout where you will take the second turning onto the Avenida dos Descobrimentos. travel down this section of road for 300 metres Just after the Marina Rio Hotel, on the next block, is where the apartment is situated, next to the opticians.
