We invite you to come and stay at Quinta da Barroquela, a beautiful villa in a very quite, picturesque small village called Ulgueira (being part of the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park), set in the ridge of the Sintra's mountains, with a spectacular view towards Cabo da Roca, Adraga Beach and the Atlantic Ocean.

For people who enjoy hiking , we recommend climbing down to the Adraga beach which will take about 30min. Its only a short hike away from the property.

Or, if you prefer to relax, why not enjoy a nap or a nice book, on one of the sun beds next to the private swimming-pool on the about 4.000 m2 property with a very well cared garden ?

Afterwards you can profit from a built-in barbecue and a terrace, to prepare some delicious grilled food for your family or friends, always enjoying the wonderful view and quite surroundings.

You look down over the hills to the Atlantic and up the coast to the north, it truly is stunning! there are two balconies overlooking the view and two picture windows in the lounge. A great place to enjoy morning coffee, read a book or just stare. The villa is large, furnished with both traditional and practical modern furniture. The beds are really comfortable! Everything you could wish for is there, plenty of kitchenware and an amazing amount of towels. Both the house and large garden are immaculate and delightful. There's another external eating area at the other side of the house, great for when the wind off the Atlantic gets up, which in September it does. Off season you'll need a jumper! The swimming pool is a good size and well looked after. There's a small supermarket in the next village, and a well stocked one a little further away in Colores. We didn't want to drive in Lisbon and found that the suburban train from Cascais worker well. There's a car park at Cascais station...
