This superb wooden lodge is situated in the owners' grounds, less than two miles from the village of Copplestone near Exeter.Barnshelley Lodge is a luxury wooden lodge in the grounds of the owners' home, 1.5 miles from the village of Copplestone and within driving distance of Exeter. This cottage sleeps four people and has a zip/link super king-size double with en-suite, a double, a bathroom and an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and a sitting area with woodburner. Outside there's off road parking for two cars and an enclosed lawned garden with a decked veranda, furniture and barbecue. Barnshelley Lodge is an excellent base for exploring the Devon countryside. Amenities: Oil central heating with woodburner. Please note: This property accepts last minute breaks. Region: Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea? Town: The mid Devon village of Copplestone is situated in lovely green countryside, four miles from the town of Crediton and a twenty minute drive from the cathedral city of Exeter. Copplestone has a shop and pub, as well as the Copplestone Cross, which is said to mark the centre of Devon, with many believing it dates back to the 10th century. There's also a station at Copplestone, from where you can catch a train on the renowned Tarka Line.

We Found Paradise
If it’s complete rest and relaxation Barn Shelley Lodge in Copplestone fits the bill exactly. We have just returned from 2 weeks there and it is the most beautiful setting for a stunning lodge. It has everything you may need, a fantastic well equipped kitchen, 2 extremely comfortable sofas, beds that are sumptuous, an ensuite shower room with a fantastic shower that was the best way to start a day, plus a bathroom with shower over bath. The views were wonderful from the front porch which you can sit on and admire the surroundings and watch the “neighbours” (sheep). You are within fairly easy reach of several things to do, RHS Rosemoor, Powderham Castle, Tiverton for a bit of retail therapy, Bow garden centre for a very yummy Sunday lunch, Darlington Crystal and Dartmoor with the ponies. The owners were very friendly and the welcome pack was much appreciated. We returned home totally refreshed and have already decided that we will definitely be booking again for next year.
