Ideally located for quick and easy access to all beaches and villages of Skopelos, Elies 2 is on the southern part of the island, above Limnonari beach and just off the main road. Built in a plot of land that gently slopes down towards the 'big blue' of the Aegean sea, it offers stunning sea and countryside views. Olive and pine trees is the commanding vegetation in this part of the island. We have planted our land with respect to the surrounding nature in order to create a unique combination of colors and light. The result can only be appreciated if you visit our land in person - even the pictures underrate reality! Elies 2 is co-located with a 'sister' house, Elies 1; they both offer the same high standard accommodation and thus are ideal for rent by 2 friendly families - as each house...

Einfach perfekt!!

Wir reisen bereits seit vielen Jahren nach Griechenland und haben viele Unterkünfte auf den verschiedensten Inseln kennen gelernt. Das Haus Elies war jedoch mit Abstand unsere beste Wahl. Die großzügige Anlage ist ausgesprochen gepflegt, der Blick auf die Bucht wunderschön. Unser Haus als auch das Nachbarhaus ist architektonisch sehr gut durchdacht und ausgesprochen geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Eine Mischung aus der Leichtigkeit des Südens, jedoch mit allem Komfort. Besonders schön sind die vielen Plätze auf der Veranda, neben dem Haus sowie am Pool. Auch vom sehr gepflegten Infinitypool kann man den Traumblick genießen. Das Haus wurde jeden Tag gereinigt, ein Service, der im Preis enthalten ist. Nicht zu vergessen das stets hilfsbereite und perfekt englisch und deutsch sprechende Vermieterpaar, die für jede Gelegenheit einen guten Tipp parat hatten. An den nahegelegenen Strände Limonari und Agnondas Beach sind wir jeden Morgen geschwommen, sie sind ausgesprochen sauber und gepflegt. Vielen Dank für herrliche Tage und griechische Gastfreundschaft, wir überlegen bereits jetzt, bald wieder zu kommen.

Fantastic location and hospitality

We spent 10 days at Elies in early July 2015. We booked both houses as we had extended family joining us. The location of the houses is unique with unbeatable views over the Limnonari bay and the open sea. The houses themselves are modern inside and comfortable with a fully functioning kitchen. The set up is great for families with young children. The property is secluded and safe and having the pool means not having to spend the whole day at the beach under the hot summer sun. Most of the beaches are a 5-10 min drive away and Skopelos town 15 mins. Most of all the hospitality from the owners made our stay special. Foula/George thanks for everything!

Fabulous setting - visually stunning

We were like previous guests, absolutely impressed with amazing views( due to the pine forests surrounding the property there is virtually no development or buildings in view) , a stunning pool and perfectly manicured garden. Foula is a genuinely friendly host who respects your space and is always willing to help with anything. We had two babies and managed to keep them safe from the stairs by putting cushions as a barrier, otherwise the stairs and top landing would be quite dangerous for toddlers. The kitchen is small so if you like to do a lot of cooking and there's four adults you might find it cramped. If you're eating out at tavernas and only doing minimal cooking then it's fine. Another small thing, if you're particular about comfortable pillows and like them soft, then suggest you bring your own.

Επίγειος Παράδεισος, εξαιρετική φιλοξενία!!!!!

Μείναμε στο Elies 1 για 6 βραδιες,4 ενήλικες και δυο μωρα παιδια! Οι χωροι ηταν ευρυχωροι και ανετοι. Ολα ηταν αψογα οργανωμενα και στον εξοπλισμο του σπιτιου δεν ελειπε ΤΙΠΟΤΑ!!! Ο κηπος και η θεα απο το σπιτι μαγευτικη!! Ο κος.Γιωργος και η κα.Φουλα εξαιρετικα φιλοξενοι και διακριτικοι! Εαν οι φωτογραφιες απο το site σας φαινονται εντυπωσιακες...η πραγματικοτητα μοιαζει με ονειρο!!!!

Perfect relaxation - a hidden paradise!

We looked at the pictures and decided from the reviews that this was the place for us. I have to say that Foula and George must have one of the most beautiful locations on all of Skopelos and we were not disappointed. The villa is very hi spec (cleaned daily), the pool, gardens & furniture are of exceptional quality and Foula and George are the perfect hosts - there when you need them. We will certainly be returning as it was the most relaxing 2 weeks we have ever had as a family. Thoroughly recommend Elies houses!!!!!

The place where I want to live forever

Really nice!! The house is the perfect location for two couple of friends; there we found everything we need, the owners were kind and the pool great... We suggest the place!! Great :)

Superbe et très calme

Nos 2 semaines en famille avec 2 enfants 4 et 6 ans, mi-Juillet sur Skopelos, dans la maison de George et Foula, ont vraiment été fidèles aux attentes: Superbe vue, piscine, maison bien conçue, repas sur la terrasse, plages entre 5 min et 30 min suivant les gouts, mer turquoise, Foula et George très accueillants,on a goute a tous les légumes du jardin. Aucunes déceptions possibles pour des vacances reposantes dans un cadre de rêve. Il faut une voiture (ou un scooter), mais aucuns problèmes pour se garer ou on veut même en haute saison. Et pour les guêpes, demandez la "solution locale". En résumé, Une maison de rêve pour beaucoup de plages (styles calanques a gros sable/galets) et de piscine, de nage avec masque et tuba, de lecture, quelques visites, restaurants, et excursions en bateau.

A Skopelos paradise

I stayed 5 days at the Elies houses with my family ( wife + 2 kids) and we had the best holiday we could dream of.. For a starter, we clearly got the timing right; the October weather can be very chilly where we live (near Oslo, Norway) so getting a few days of really nice summer (~22 to 28 degrees) at this time was really nice for us. But what really made this holiday special was the house where we stayed; Elies houses. First of all the location is perfect. Just 7mins drive from Skopelos City Centre, and not far away from Skopelos' top beaches such as Milla and Kastani. (Yes, you need a car to get the house, but car hire is cheap in Skopelos and you will really need a car to get around and enjoy Skopelos anyway..) The property lies close to the main road but is secured with a gate (remote control) and has parking space inside. Behind the house there is a modern and large pool, clean and very well maintained. A part of the pool is shallow thus suitable for young kids (non-swimmers), while the rest of pool is deep and suitable for adults and older kids desiring a proper swim. Our kids (5 and 8yrs) loved the pool and could play there for hours..From the pool you will experience the most fantsatic views of the sea, with the charming Limonari beach 2km straight below. We took some really beautiful photos there at sunset. The house itself was fantastic; spacious , well equipped and tastefully furnished. The houses are quite new (2 or 3 years?) and I have never experienced such a high standard on the interiour in a holiday home. The garden is green and beautifully designed ... Last but not least, the hosts (Foula and Giorgos, who also live in a house on the same property) are extremely friendly and helpful and and they looked well after us. We got practical help when we needed it and good hints about what we could see or do on the island. We had a fantastic stay at Skopelos, much thanks to the georgous Elies houses.... We hope to come back here some day, maybe together with family/friends who could become our neighbours in the second house.... ( NOTE: If you are travelling from Norway, check out the charter companies like apollo.no and ving.no, from May to September they sell reasonable direct flights from Oslo to Skiathos, which is just 1 hour ferry trip from Skopelos..)

The best place to stay , calm, beautifull, fantastic view

Séjour fantastique dans ce lieu magique, calme, vue exceptionnelle, la maison est très bien conçue, le jardin magnifique et la piscine à débordement très agréable, tout est parfait, un vrai paradis. Nous avons eu beaucoup de plaisir à faire la connaissance de Foula et Giorgio qui gèrent à merveille ce lieu et merci encore pour leur gentillesse, disponibilité et serviabilité.

Paradise Found

We stayed at Elies Houses the last week of June 2011 and we can honestly say we could not have made a better choice. The location for us was the best on the island as well as the villa itself. Perched high above Limnonari Bay/beach, set among olive groves and fragrant flowering gardens with absolutely breathtaking views where one can enjoy the sunsets from the infinity pool, it was pretty hard to pull ourselves away and tour the island. But of course we did and whenever we got back it was like coming home. Foula and George are the most gracious, considerate and discreet hosts. There is no language barrier since they speak French, English and German fluently. The houses themselves are conveniently located close enough to Skopelos town,, some of the best beaches on the island and even Glossa is not more than a 20 minute drive. And even though they are high above the beach they are just off the main road easily accessible by car. Tips:The two houses are semi-detached sharing the pool so they are perfect for extended families or two families which are friends and would like to vacation together. But even if you book only one house and the other is booked by strangers there is still enough privacy. Having a car is essential as it gives you the freedom to come and go as you please as well as the opportunity to see the island. The fish tavernas at Agnondas bay are 2 minutes away, as well as beautiful Limnonari beach. Adrina and Panormos are also close by. You must have lunch or early dinner at Agnanti restaurant in Glossa. Top notch. If you have time drive around some of the monasteries on the island but keep in mind they close between 2 and 4 p.m. Climbing up to the top of Agios Ioannis is also a must but go early to avoid the crowds. We loved every minute of our stay at Elies Houses and we cannot wait to return. If you decide that's the place for you, you will not be disappointed.

About the neighbourhood

Enjoy peace and serenity at Elies House while swimming at the pool or dining at your private terrace... Or you may want to dive into the crystal clear waters of the Aegean by driving (or walking) to Limnonari beach (2.5 km downhill - bar & watersports available). More outstanding beaches are located in the vicinity: Panormos & Andrines (7 km), Milia & Kastani (8 km - scenes from 'Mama-Mia!' where filmed there...), Stafilos & Velanio (7 km). If you feel like exploring more remote or 'secluded' beaches, then, pop down to Panormos or Skopelos town to rent a boat of your own - ask on-site for further details.. Skopelos however is not just great beaches and sea: if you feel energetic, there are great hiking/mountain biking paths...ask on-site for further details. The most picturesque and busiest village of the island is Skopelos town ('Chora') - only 5 km driving from Elies Houses (approx. 8 minutes) with a number of good restaurants and bars. The nearest amenities are located at Agnontas - a tiny settlement in a causy bay , only 2 km from our houses with three sea-side fish taverns.

How to get there

Several ways to get to Skopelos island: 1. Fly to Skiathos island, take the ferry to Skopelos island (Skiathos to Skopelos town is 1 hour by ferry and 40 minutes by passenger-only boats). From Skopelos town Elies Houses (our properties) are 5 km distance. On Skopelos island, it is advisable to rent a car or scooter in order to be able to better explore the island as well... 2. Fly to Volos (nearest Greece mainland airport), take the bus to Volos town (approx 45 minutes), then take the ferry/passenger boat to Skopelos town. It is 3 hour & 45 minutes from Volos to Skopelos town by ferry or 2 hour & 30 minutes by passenger speed boat. On Skopelos island, it is advisable to rent a car or scooter in order to be able to better explore the island as well... 3. Fly to Thessaloniki airport and then travel to Volos port (bus or car hire) - approx 2 h& 30 minutes, then as above. 4. Fly to Athens International airport, and then travel to Agios Konstantinos port (bus or car hire, approx 2 hours), then take ferry or speed boat travel distance similar to Volos-Skopelos..
