Tatty, dated worn out furniture. Fake leather settee broken and ripped, hidden by cushions laid on top!! Beds old worn out and uncomfortable, need replacing.En suites like a broom cupboard. Tv in lounge area - so complicated we could not get it to work. Front outside door only able to lock from inside as keyhole is missing. Window handles missing off some windows. Windows dirty. Mirrors dirty. Had to wash glasses plates and cutlery before using. Front garden a dug up mess with untidy overgrown trees and bushes.

Great location opposite Peaseholm Park and 5 minutes walk to the beach, but the house was disappointingly shabby. All the furniture, including sofas and beds, is worn out and decidedly uncomfortable, especially the sofa in the front lounge which is impossible to sit on without getting a pain in the neck! Smaller bedrooms are very shabby and poorly furnished. There is no washbasin in the family bathroom, which proved very inconvenient. There is no hot water unless the heating is on and even then there is only enough for two inches of hot water in the bath. The whole house could do with a good detailed clean e.g inside kitchen drawers and cupboards, under the sofas and on top of wardrobes. Judging from comments made in the visitor's book 2 or 3 years ago, the owners are aware of some of these issues but haven't addressed them. I was not expecting luxury but did hope for a reasonable standard ; Parkside did not meet my expectations .
