Porthole Cottage is ideally situated on the edge of North Hill overlooking the sea. The cottage is in a quiet, secluded location yet only few minutes walking distance from the beach and pubs and restaurants as well as the high street shops. It is a great base for walking/cycling on Exmoor or visiting the local attractions such as Dunster Castle and the West Somerset Railway or just relaxing on the sandy beach.

We enjoyed a first rate half term break with our 2 eldest grandchildren. The cottage was well equipped and safe enough for the kids. Plenty of books to read and TV/DVD ,plus a few games on site. The hosts were very amiable and friendly ....More

Traveling west out of Minehead are the picturesque villages of Selworthy & Allerford, Porlock & Porlock weir and Lynton & Lynmouth. There are 'safari' excursions across Exmoor looking at the herds of deer and Exmoor ponies. Wimbleball Lake lies approximately 15 miles inland which offer fishing and various watersports
facilities.The nearby village of Dunster with its medieval castle and quaint shops & cafes, is well worth a visit.
