The Retreat, once an artisan’s cottage, in the early 20th century of the village of Lindley and in sight of Lindley Clock tower built by the famous architect Edgar Wood. The clock Tower still tells the time and chimes the quarter for the residents of Lindley to this day.
The retreat is lovely and cosy. Very clean and a pleasure to stay at. Cleide the owner was very helpful and welcoming. Only thing to keep in mind is the church. It is very annoying. The bell doesn't just ring every hour, it rings every 15 minutes. Yup 15 minutes. And it rings until midnight or later. Then it starts back up in the early hours of the morning. 3am!!!!! But other than the church outside. The retreat was amazing and very well cleaned.

Stunning quiet hideaway. Just perfect for a quiet few days away within easy walking distance of the quaint little village of Lindley which hosts a clock tower and a number of trendy eateries. Cleide was a welcoming host and nothing was too much trouble. We hope to visit again.

We had a lovely stay in the Retreat, the facilities were excellent it had everything we needed & it was very cosy. Good location with a small supermarket close by & on a good bus route which takes you near the train station making it easy to get around Yorkshire for sightseeing. Would definitely visit again.
