The village of Golcar is situated on a small hillside crest just 2.5 miles from the centre of Huddersfield; a small village but rich in history (being noted in the Domesday Book) and playing an important role in the industrial revolution as a centre for weaving. The property is well connected, being just a short 10 minute drive from the M62 motorway that provides quick and easy access into the surrounding towns and cities. Anyone looking for a quiet retreat, getaway or somewhere for a business trip will find this property an ideal location. Parking is on-street. More

We had a great stay, owner was really kind and went out of his way to help us and make us as comfortable as possible. We really enjoyed the relaxing garden and the cottage was clean and fully equipped with all we needed. Hope to come back some time.

We came to stay while our house was being renovated, and everything we could possibly have needed was here for us and more. The host Robert was so kind and welcoming, letting us stay for longer at short notice, as the work was not finished on schedule. Everything here is so lovely, clean and comfortable, the cottage is extremely quiet and cosy . a perfect stay in every way, thank you so much.
