The Servants' Quarters is a traditional stone built self-catering cottage hidden away in the centre of Buxton, Derbyshire. Beautifully renovated, it comfortably sleeps 4 people.

The accommodation is spread over three floors and includes two double bedrooms each with their own bathroom, a study area, lounge, kitchen diner and courtyard garden. The bedroom on the first floor can offer a double or twin beds.

There is free, unrestricted on-street parking on the roads surrounding The Servants' Quarters. About 10 meters from the front door is a single yellow line section which means you are always able to pull up and drop off any luggage, shopping or weary passengers!

It's important to us that you have the space and privacy to make the most of your stay at The Servants' Quarters, that said we only live round the corner so can easily pop round if you have any questions or problems. We try to meet our guests the first evening after they arrive to say hello, check that everything's OK for them, share 'what's on' in the area and answer any questions they have in order to make their stay more enjoyable. After that we're only a text or a call away if we can be of any further help.

Tucked away on a quiet side street, yet within easy walking distance of several eating places. Buxton town centre is 5 mins walk away. The property is well appointed, clean and very comfortable

Very clean, comfortable and well equipped accommodation with lots of thoughtful extras, ideal for 2 couples or a family. The owners sent texts and emails before we arrived and were available all week during our stay to answer any questions. They even called round to...More

The Servants' Quarters is located in Buxton just a short walk from the Town Centre. Buxton has the Opera House the Pavilion Gardens and a good number of very good restaurants. Buxton is also a very good base for anyone wanting to explore the Peak...More

About the neighbourhood
The historic market town of Buxton nestles in the Derbyshire hills and at a height of 1,000 feet above sea level it is one of England's highest towns. It has a long history as a spa town due to its geothermal spring which rises at a constant temperature of 28 °C. It was initially developed by the Romans around AD 78, when the settlement was known as Aquae Arnemetiae, or the spa of the goddess of the grove.

Buxton has some lovely buildings - notably John Carr's Georgian Crescent and the Opera House, designed by Frank Matcham (architect of many of London's finest theatres). It also has a thriving music and arts festival each summer.

The Servants' Quarters is located right in the centre of Buxton, just a road away from the picturesque Pavilion Gardens and Opera House. You can easily walk to the majority of the attractions, shops and restaurants Buxton has to offer.

The house is 10-15 minutes walk from Buxton Railway Station which has direct trains into Manchester Piccadilly Station.

Buxton Market Place is 2 minutes walk away - from here there are a wide range of bus services to the local towns, Sheffield, Manchester and (direct) to Manchester Airport.

Buxton is surrounded by the glorious Peak District National Park. If travelling by car why not stop off for a short walk, take in a view or visit one of the areas stately homes (Chatsworth, Haddon, Keddleston, Lyme Park). For those travelling from London the nearest Mainline train station is 12 miles away in Macclesfield (1 hour 50 mins direct from London Euston). The No. 58 bus takes you over the hills into Buxton on the Cat and Fiddle road - one of the most stunning routes in the area.
