Lavender Cottage is a traditional Victorian cottage which has been renovated to a high standard and provides a perfect base for exploring the North Cotswolds, Stratford-on-Avon, Oxford and Warwick Castle. There is a large sitting room with original cast iron oven and fireplace - great for cosy evenings if you are visiting in the cooler months. The characterful kitchen/diner overlooks fields so you can watch the cows come home whilst at the sink! There is a small sun room overlooking the garden. Superfast broadband and Welcome pack are provided free. There are three bedrooms ( king-size, twin and single) all beautifully decorated in English country style. All bedrooms and bathroom have beams and overlook fields or thatched cottages. The large separate shower is lined with travertine tiles and the bathroom marble floor has underfloor heating. The pretty cottage rear garden which overlooks open fields has a lawn, box-edged flower beds and a paved area. It is completed with an arbour where you can relax with a glass of wine and enjoy the peace and quiet. Garden table and chairs for 4 (additional chairs in the sun room) and BBQ. Coronavirus Update We are pleased to have been awarded VisitBritain's certificate 'We're Good to Go!' for our full compliance with Government Guidance during the pandemic. The health and safety of our staff and guests is our highest priority. Our housekeeper has been instructed to take additional precautions and disinfection practices following the departure of and prior to the arrival of all guests. Anti-bacterial products are being used throughout the cottage with disinfection of frequently touched surfaces etc. Anti-bacterial products are available for guest use. Given the rural location, it is easy to practice social distancing and as the weather warms, the garden is a lovely spot to enjoy the open air whilst enjoying the views. About the neighbourhood
Farnborough is a tranquil and picturesque traditional English village with stone cottages, thatched roofs and the all - essential English pub, The Kitchen. The village boasts a National Trust property, Farnborough Hall, which is open to the public. On open days the village ladies produce wonderful cakes in the village hall - not to be missed! There are lovely walks around the village including the Hall grounds and there is a large lake, a local beauty spot nearby, where you can also fish.

For guests wishing to visit London there is very quick rail access ( 1 hr 15 mins. ) by train from Banbury.
