There is a brand new en suite bathroom with shower, WC, sink, heated towel rail and under floor heating. Bedroom 2: Oak floorboards, a double bed, freestanding wardrobe, antique chest of drawers and side tables with reading lamps. Family bathroom: freestanding bath, shower, WC, sink, shaver point, heated towel rail and under floor heating. We provide all bed linen, towels and bathrobes. For stays of two weeks or more, the cottage will be cleaned and the owners will replace all bed linen and towels weekly, at your convenience. The bespoke kitchen and utility room is complete with a three-oven AGA, combination microwave/convection oven, washer/dryer, separate fridge and freezer and dishwasher. There is a downstairs toilet. There are plentiful supplies of kitchen equipment and crockery provided, and appliances like a food processer and pasta roller are available to borrow from the Main House. The dining room and sitting room each have an original, inglenook fireplace with log burning stove. A supply of logs, firelighters, matches and kindling are provided. The sitting room is fitted with a 40” Smart TV. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Hillcrest's private, walled garden is a perfect suntrap with pretty flowerbeds and a lawn. It is terraced, complete with a barbeque and al fresco dining area for balmy summers evenings. Guests are welcome to use the lawn at the Main House to play croquet and boules if they don't mind Monty, the golden Labrador, joining in as well. There are two quintessentially English gastropubs near to the cottage; The Wykham Arms is a stunning 17th century inn, 150 metres away and the recently renovated Chandlers Arms, a five-minute drive away, serves excellent food and local beer seven days a week. Come rain or shine there is always something to do here. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy running, walking and golf in the vicinity of the cottage, and bicycle hire and horse riding can be arranged. The Main House offers secure storage facilities if you would prefer to bring your own bike instead. Just over an hour by train from central London, Hillcrest is ideally situated to visit Cotswold towns like Burford, Bourton-on-the-Water, Chipping Campden, Stow-on-the-Wold and Broadway, or to discover historical attractions like Edgehill (location of the famous Civil War battle), Blenheim Palace (the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill), Bletchley Park, Kenilworth Castle, Warwick, Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon (the home of William Shakespeare.) For those more inclined towards retail therapy, Bicester Village is only forty minutes away. If you've shopped til you've dropped, a local masseuse and beautician can be arranged to ease aching muscles or provide a well-deserved manicure. Sibford hosts Art Week every year, where local artists exhibit their works in the local area. In addition, many gardens in Sibford open to the public on the third weekend in June. Horse racing at Stratford and Cheltenham or motor racing at Silverstone is also easily accessible from the cottage. If you feel spoilt for choice, we are happy to help you plan your stay.More
