Fairhill Cottage was built in about 1870 and is located at the quieter end of the main street in Callander (Away from main shops, bars etc.). This makes for a convenient location with street parking at the door yet only a few minutes walk to all that Callander has to offer. For your convenience, guests let themselves into the property by accessing the keys via a keysafe, this means that you are free to arrive and leave whenever you like and are not tied to certain times to meet and exchange keys. We do ask that guests arrive after 3PM and leave by 10 to allow us time to clean the cottage and get ready for our next arrivals.

Great location for town and surrounding areas but very noisy. The accommodation is adequate but in need of some major tidying up and redecoration. Kitchen is very poor standard and garden is a bit of a puzzle. Parking out-front is a lottery but you can usually find a space somewhere? It worked for us so as I say " it...

Stayed in this cottage for a week whilst visiting family in Callander. Our review is very mixed and I have to agree with everything the previous reviewer said. But to be completely fair I will list the good and the bad. The good... Good location, within walking distance of all this lovely town has to offer. Clean linens and reasonably...

About the neighbourhood
Callander is situated in the heart of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park allowing easy access to many of the Parks attractions whilst still being less than an hour away from the cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh.  Historic Stirling is just 25 minutes drive away and further afield Glencoe, Oban and Fort William are all less than 2 hours away.
For those with an interest in golf, Gleneagles is a mere 35 minutes away and St Andrews, Carnoustie, Turnberry and Troon are all less than 2 hours drive.
Getting around
A car is recommended for getting around although many of our guests arrive from Stirling by bus and spend their time without a car just walking in and around callander. All of callander's shops, hotels and restaurants are within walking distance as are walks along the River Teith, Bracklinn falls etc.
