Cottage
Birse, AboyneBirch Cottage is tranquil, yet close to great amenities. Across the River Dee is Aboyne, with pub, cafes, good shops, swimming pool, gliding club, & golf course; to the left 15 miles of uninterrupted hill walking to the next glen. An excellent base for exploring Royal Deeside with its opportunities for walking, biking, fishing, canoeing, bird watching etc. It also offers standing stones, Pictish crosses, historic castles, whisky distilleries. Thirty miles to the East is the city of Aberdeen, with modern shopping centres and other big city attractions, as well as sandy beaches, museums, and art galleries to explore. The cottage is Victorian, and still retains many old features - including a very steep staircase. NB Parking for one large and one small car only...Birse, AboyneBirch Cottage is tranquil, yet close to great amenities. Birch Cottage is a traditional granite cottage near Aboyne. It has three bedrooms so for the price is quite a good deal. However it is definitely ‘tired’ and in need of an upgrade. It was cold when we arrived and the wood burning stove was...More

Thank you very much for your review of the cottage, and your helpful comments. I'm sorry the television wasn't working properly during your stay. As you know, we had had an engineer over, and he confirmed there was nothing wrong with the set and the...More
