Osprey Lodge is a traditional stone built property recently developed out of a 200 year old coach house and stables to create a luxury interior with a double height sitting area featuring a large westerly facing window that opens onto the patio. You can enjoy the stunning views both from inside and outside. The hot tub is the perfect place to take it all in or even just enjoy the stars.
The lodge is surrounded by rivers, wetland, the Cairngorm mountains and a vast array of wildlife. From your doorstep you can immediately access beautiful walking paths through the RSPB reserve as well as excellent mountain biking and cycling routes together with Munro bagging, climbing and skiing on the Cairngorms.

Stunning house, walks and views
Soooo comfortable. All mod cons plus a hot tub. Surreal to sit in hot tub and view the snow on the mountains. Quiet and great sleeps. So many beautiful walks and cycling from the house. RSPB hide just 15 min walk away. Loved it.

Brilliant Osprey Lodge
We had a brilliant time at this wonderful property. Location is superb, facilities are fantastic- everything is catered for and of great quality. Lots to see nearby and in surrounding area. Will be recommending this to everyone we know. It’s a real home from home.

Fantastic rental with stunning views
Osprey Lodge is stunning with glorious views of the mountains and nearby marshes. The facilities at the lodge were perfect for our stay to celebrate a special birthday. The surrounding area is perfect for bird and wildlife watching, with plenty of lovely walks. Kingussie is a great little place and the people so friendly. To make the trip even more special it snowed, turning everything into a wonderland. Sitting in the hot tub sipping champagne topped what was the perfect long winter weekend. I am now deeply in love with the Cairngorms.

Amazing
It's been a year to the day when we checked in to osprey lodge. My face book memories popped up and I've been thinking of our short holiday all day. There was four adults and four children and we all lived more than comfortably from Thursday to Sunday. The lodge is just amazing it suited the needs of every one from age 60 to age 6. The children quickly made friends with the farmer who was more than eager to talk to them about the animals. We went out every day exploring the local area and going into Inverness and to landmark. I really did not want to leave. I hope one day we can be in a position to book over xmas because I cannot think of a more ideal location to spend time with my family.

WOW
What a wonderful place to unwind. We had a short break, but didnt want to leave. The facilities are wonderful, and the set up was everything we needed.
Great attention to detail, which adds to the experience.
The location is great for walking, and exploring nearby areas. With it being located on a working farm, there was plenty for the kids to see as well.
Thanks everyone, and we cannot wait to return!

Excellent lodge, great location and very homely feel. Beautiful views while soaking in the hot tub! We will most definitely be back!

About the neighbourhood
RSPB Insh Marshes National Nature Reserve (dogs are allowed on all nature trails) is on your doorstep. Look out for nesting lapwings, redshanks and curlews.
Hike along the Tromie River, through woodland to the Tromie Bridge looking out for deer and red squirrels.
Must have afternoon tea and cake at the Inshriach Nursery which is open Wednesday to Sunday between March and October.
Visit Loch Insh Watersports Centre at Kincraig for a great view of the Ospreys during the summer months. Wildlife boat trips tour Insh Marshes and the River Spey.
Discover Scottish wildlife at the nearby Highland Wildlife Park which is a 260 acre safari park run by Royal Zoological Society of Scotland.
Speyside Distillery, Tromie Mills is close by.
Getting around
While a car is recommended we have had guests stay who haven't had a car. The took to the train to Kingussie and arranged a taxi to take them to the lodge. They had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend walking the trails and absorbing the wildlife.

Directions:
1. Take the A9 to Kingussie, turn onto A86 towards Kingussie.
2. Travel along Kingussie High Street for 0.7miles and take the left turning opposite the Duke of Gordon Hotel onto Station Road.
3. Travel for 1.9 miles past the Train Station, over the train line, over the Spey Bridge, past the Ruthven Barracks and past the RSPB Insh Marsh Reserve.
4. Take the left turning at Invertromie (there is a sign to Osprey Lodge at the end of the road next to bins).
5. You will have reached your destination after you have travelled 0.4 miles down a farm road.
6. Park in the car park over the cattle grid on the right.
