Jonas house a cosy spot of luxury in the picturesque Peak District village of Eyam.

Originally built in the 16th century, it retains it's traditional charm but with all modern comforts that you would expect in a holiday home.

Jonas House is located just off the main square with its pub, tea shops and cafes, but benefits from being on a no-through lane with little passing traffic.

We have taken great care to create a special place where you can unwind relax and spend special time with friends and loved ones.

The cottage was excellent with everything we needed for our stay - very comfortable, ideally positioned and extremely peaceful. Had a wonderful few days in the the National Park, with some great walks.

About the neighbourhood
Eyam is one of the best-preserved villages in the Peak District and is the famous 'plague village', which went into voluntary quarantine when the plague was imported from London in 1665.
There are many fine traditional cottages and houses in Eyam. Parts of the village have been kept as they looked several centuries ago, especially the area around Jonas House. Many of the buildings also have plaques giving details of their history and the part their inhabitants played in the Plague history. The church in the centre of the village has many relics of the Plague, including Mompesson's chair, gravestones of Plague victims and the Parish Register recording the deaths. Within the church there is a small exhibition about the Plague.
