Hilltop is a modern dwelling with self contained accommodation in a very desirable area on a hill in the countryside overlooking Belfast & Lisburn. The two double en-suite rooms have tea/coffee facilities, fridge and TV with use of wireless broadband, or alternatively use of owners desktop computer linked to broadband.<BR><BR>The kitchen/dining room (cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave) and there is seating for 8 at the table.<BR><BR>The guest lounge has 3 large picture windows where one can see for 10 miles or more on a good day, and comfort seating for 8 people. We stayed here back in 2014 (I think). And all I can say is its perfect. The house is part of a larger house which the family who own it live in. The half that you get is completely separated with separate entrance, kitchen, living room, bathroom and bedrooms. The living room has amazing views across the countryside and down to Lisburn. The house is clearly lived in the rest of the year by the families children so if you are looking for hotel style accommodation this might not be for you. But we didn't mind the homely feel. It is also fully self catering but the facilities are excellent for this. There is plenty space outside for parking. It is on a country road so not a great chance for walks but it is a great base to explore Northern Ireland from. The family that own it are really friendly and always stop for a chat. We really enjoyed it and would not hesitate going back to stay.

B&B is at the rate of £30 per person per night (£50 per couple) and includes full Irish breakfast. Children accompanied by an adult 50% reduction age 5 - 16, and under 5 free. (Deduct £5 per person if breakfast not required.

SORRY SELF CATERING FULLY BOOKED AT PRESENT - ONLY B&B AVAILABLE If you require self catering - bread, butter, jam, milk, orange juice, cereals tea and coffee, will be available in kitchen areas of your luxury accommodation on arrival. If you decide to have a good Ulster fry (pure orange, ceral, sausages, egg, bacon, white pudding, potato bread, toast tea/coffee) this can be arranged for any morning of your choice at an additional £5 per adult (children 5 - 16 half price). The only other cost during your stay is additional food.

We pride ourselves on high standards and low rates. (oil, electricity, bedding, towels, broadband are all included in rate).

About the neighbourhood
The round tower dating from viking days is the main landmark in Drumbo, The beautiful countryside makes up for a lack of village amenities in Drumbo. Lisburn which is 5 miles away has a multi cinema, swimming pool and numerous eating establishments on a large site on edge of town. Drumbo dog race track is close by and offers an excellant night out.<BR><BR>Both Lisburn (4 miles) and Belfast city centre (8.5 miles) are excellent cities for shopping. Places recommended within 1 hours drive are Belfast Zoo, Ulster Folk and Transport museum, drive by ferry from Strangford to Portaferry and return by road on other side of Pennisula.<BR><BR>Giant's Causeway and Antrim coast is about 2 hours drive and is an excellent day out especially if coastal route is taken.

Drumbo is a very small village in the hills overlooking Belfast and Lisburn cities. By road It is 4.5 mile from Lisburn and 8.5 miles from Belfast city centre Hillsborough, Carryduff and Ballynahinch are all with a short car journey. Belfast International airport is 20 miles and George Best city airport is 12 miles.<BR><BR>Easiest directions are from M1 motorway. Exit at number 6 and follow sign for 'Saintfield'. <BR><BR>After about 2.5 mile road for Saintfield turns 90 degrees left and there is a slip lane you enter when turning left here. <BR><BR>Take this 90 degree left, and then take next road on left signposted 'Drumbo 2' at brow of a hill. Number 60 is on right hand side just over 1 mile.
