About the neighbourhood
We can recommend a number of local, beautiful vineyards to visit where wine tasting and tours can be arranged. The countryside around your holiday cottage is stunning and a wonderful place for you to cycle, run or walk. There are also a range of activities on offer nearby such as canoeing on the Dordogne River, a range of water sports and fishing. You will love visiting the local markets, one of which can be visited every morning. St Émilion is 20 minutes away and this typically French town hosts some great restaurants. As well as very good local restaurants, there are also some Michelin starred restaurants within a 20-30 minute drive time, as well as those in Bordeaux. Further afield you can visit the Dune du Pllat, Sarlat & Toulouse.
Getting around
The best way to get around is by car. The cottage is situated in rural France and so a car is highly recommended, whether that be the one you drive over from your original destination or a hired car.
