Condo/Apartment -
Studio , 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 2
Sedella, Province of Malaga, Andalucia
Delightful studio in the mountains of the Costa del Sol. Free WiFi. Pool. Eng T V.

The sun is shining, and the almond trees are blooming. All around the mountains are covered in pink and white blossom. Nestled in a secluded valley in the beautiful Sierra de Tejeda range, Casa Joya is the perfect place to relax. Have a barbecue on the terrace with its stunning sea and mountain views or eat in the romantic walled courtyard with its view of Mount Maroma, the highest peak. You can explore delightful white villages with steep narrow streets decorated with flowers, vines and jasmine, or drive down to the coast and visit Torre del Mar or Nerja with its lovely bay and awe-inspiring Tolkienesque caves. Further east still are unspoilt rocky coves, deserted at certain times of year.

The house is located in the open countryside, a...

Los Pueblos Blancos – The White Villages:
Between the Atlantic coast to the west and the Ronda Mountains to the east are a cluster of some of Andalusia's most beautiful mountain villages.

These are known to the Spanish as, simply, 'Los Pueblos Blancos', the white villages. Every year, once the spring rains have passed, their houses are meticulously whitewashed to a state of pristine splendour and the white provides a dazzling contrast to the brightly coloured flowers which fill the streets of their rocky mountain perches. This annual white-washing is almost a pagan act, ushering in the season of growth and fertility and saying 'hasta la vista' to the winter.
