The property has oil fired central heating throughout. Electric 'woodburner' effect stove in the lounge and TV/DVD with Freesat. A selection of books and DVDs are available for guests' use. Kitchen is well equipped with electric hob and double oven, washing machine, dishwasher, ironing facilities, kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer, microwave. Dining table seats up to 8, with additional seating for 2 at the breakfast bar. A travel cot and high chair are available on request.

About the neighbourhood
Traditional fishing villages of Eyemouth, Coldingham and St Abbs and some of the inland villages offer access to traditional inns where you can enjoy locally sourced fresh fish and produce, and visit local museums and places of interest. The small town of Duns hosts the Jim Clark Rally annually in June. The minor country roads offer lovely cycle routes. Beach, surfing and diving access within a 10 minute drive.
How to get there
Brock House is in a rural location, so the use of a car is essential, although there is a bus service from nearby Grantshouse Village. The nearest Eastcoast Mainline Railway stations are located at Berwick upon Tweed or Dunbar (both are 15 minutes drive from Brock House) with good services to Edinburgh, Newcastle and beyond. Edinburgh Airport is approximatley 40 miles and Newcastle Airpot is approximately 65 miles. Both airports are served by a good range of budget airlines. DFDS Ferries have 7 weekly sailing from Newcastle. Many national car hire companies operate from both Edinburgh Airport and Newcastle Airport. Local car hire companies include, East Coast Rental (01289 307 611) and Enterprise Car Rental (0800 800 227).
