La Taillede is an ancient Catalan hill farm, situated at 1000m altitude with stunning views of the Vallespir and down to the Mediterranean sea on a clear day. La Taillede is an ecological organic farm. We have many animals, a large vegetable garden, and a large workshop and woodworking department (away from the gites). Gite Noisette is perfect for a couple or friends ; The beds can be made up as large singles (90cms wide) or a super king double. A cot and high chair is also available for couples with a baby/infant. The apartment measures 50m², with a large open kitchen/living room/dining room and roomy, high pressure showers. There is a sauna and cold plunge pool right next door for your private use. There is a wood burning stove, wifi internet, and a television which is connected to the main system, with hundreds of movies and tv programs to watch, or access your Netflix account. However, most guests would prefer to be exploring the mountains or just taking in the incredible view! All the built in cupboards in the kitchen & bathroom, ceiling beams, lintels and beds are made out of chestnut from our forest, sawn at La Taillede, made and fitted by us with love! Gite Noisette shares an entrance hall with Gite Cerise, which is almost identical and the large South facing terrace with a fire pit in front of the house. These apartments are perfect for 2 couples or friends who want their own space but enjoy a little social time too, or for groups who would like to use both apartments. Please note; for 2020 to respect social distancing, if you rent Gite Noisette, there will be no one in Gite Cerise. Gite Cerise is available for anyone who books Gite Noisette for half price. More

Fabulous get away. Stunning location. Great place to recharge your batteries in a natural, working environment

We stayed for a week and would happily have made it longer. The combination of a peaceful, remote location, with a practical working farm means that whilst there's a stunning quiet and stillness about the place [and the views are amazing]... there's actually always something...More

About the neighbourhood
La Taillede is 15 minutes walk from the picturesque and peaceful Catalan mountain village of Corsavy. Here there are 3 restaurants, a cafe, post office and an open air swimming pool, open in July & August. There are many other lovely villages to visit, and the town of Ceret with it's art galleries and vibrant Saturday market. Most people come here to go walking; the most stunning walks go from Batere which is a short drive away. Many other walks go straight from the Mas. The sea is 1 hours drive away, and Spain is 45 minutes drive away. There are 2 lakes, a river, lots of wildlife and fresh mountain air!

As we are a fairly remote farm, the only way to reach us is by having your own car.
