What a find! Absolutely stunning
Villa Anna looked pretty good on all the internet sites we checked out before our stay (on the top of a hill overlooking Bobovišća bay), but our family group were totally gobsmacked at how beautiful and stunning this villa and garden really are. The facillities are superb with everything you might need, including a suprising large swim pool (in a very sunny spot with amazing views), two barbecues and plenty of suitable outdoor communal eating areas. The inside areas are spotless and spacious with fully equiped kitchen(s) and plenty of bathroom/shower options (these are not en suite, but are conveniently located). Access to the sea and bay, for a morning swim or stroll to the village shop for fresh croissants, is direct from the garden via quite a few steps, so there's a bit of exercise before the rest of the day's pleasures. I was glad I brought my binoculars to take advantage of the surrounding views plus all the comings and goings in the bay with lots of sailing boats, spectacular sunsets etc. We hired an automatic car locally via Brattia Travel, who I would recomment and were a pleasure to deal with, (thanks Ela!). The automatic gearbox was perfect for the steep hills and enabled us to do stress free shopping and see the rest of Brac Island. Our host, Tanja, was really nice and very helpful, yet you would hardly notice she was around. If you messaged her with a question, she responded right away and would attend if needed. On our arrival, she had even layed out some food, juice and red wine for us all, after our long day travelling. It was a thoughtful, kind and very welcome surprise start to a most wonderful and unforgettable family holiday. You won't be dissappoined!

Wonderful views, wonderful host
The house laus on top of a hill overlooking the little harbour of Bobovisce. Spectacular sunsets, verry beautiful garden with many places to sit and read a book. Lovely pool. Our host Tanja was always around to help with practical issues and questions. She is very warm and welcoming; a pleasure to stay in her house.

Villa Anna
We had a wonderful stay at Villa Anna. The villa was very well equipped and laid out but the grounds were absolutely beautiful - the villa is surrounded by wonderful views and the gardens are full of view points and seating areas to watch the ever changing vistas. The pool was also a delight and we spent many hours relaxing there. There are lots of things to do in the area with plenty of water sport and snorkelling options. The sea is crystal clear and we saw lots of marine life including octopus, cuttlefish and a moray eel. Thank you so much for a lovely stay!

Views go on forever
We spent a week in this villa and loved it. It felt like staying at Grandma's house as furnishings were eclectic yet comfy. (The mattress we slept on could use an upgrade and the towels in the house were just ok, but neither is a deal breaker for this special home.) The towels poolside, however, were very nice. Speaking of the pool, it was my favorite part of our stay. It is the best, most spacious private pool I've ever been in. And the view from the pool was wonderful. The landscaping of the villa is just amazing. Stone steps and nooks, beautiful flowers and plants and stunning views were everywhere. Sitting on the covered, shaded porch looking out over the quiet bay, watching sailboats glide by was pure relaxation and welcome respite from the heat. Tanya put us in touch with a gentleman who rented us a great little boat for the week. What fun that was, puttering around the local area and stopping to snorkel in the clear blue water. Tanya and her husband were gracious, friendly hosts. We would dearly love to return someday.

Unbeatable location in a gorgeous bay with fabulous views
Having spent a week on a sail boat (which was great but busy), this was a perfect way to completely unwind. This house has a unique location - with a lovely and shaded garden from which various comfortable vantage points give different views of the beautiful bay below. The pool is perfect and well sheltered but again with its own lovely view. The delightful owners are on hand when you need but we always felt that we had the property to ourselves. If you are looking for some peace, wonderful views and plenty of room, I cannot recommend Villa Anna more highly. In terms of amenities, Wifi was good, AC which covered the whole house worked well and gave good respite from the hotter days. We made extensive use of the BBQ and kitchen. Tip: we rented a boat (you do need a license in Croatia) for the week which was moored on the house mooring boy at the bottom of the steps; we had a lot of fun with it, exploring local bays and getting over to Milna - I would recommend getting a larger engine (50HP+) to explore more of the island. Also ignore the journey times on Google Maps. Trip to Bol (not really worth visiting) for example was just 25 mins.

Perfect location, perfect house, perfect holiday
Hard to overstate how beautiful the location is -- the view is breathtaking, the house is comfortable and inviting, the garden is paradise. Pool is gorgeous, lovely temperature and beautiful view, the owners were kind, discreet and could not do enough to make our stay a happy one. Easy to shop for food etc nearby so all practicalities easily dealt with. The bay beneath the house is stunning and you can wander down the steps and swim in the sea or sit at the restaurant and enjoy the food and the view. Really cannot fault anything -- we experienced a range of weather from very very hot and humid through to pleasantly warm and the house was perfect for all - air conditioning took care of the heat, shaded garden took care of the sun, and the pool took care of the children. Relaxing, comfortable, peaceful, but that view, that view that view…...

A stunning and relaxing location
This has to be one of the most stunning places to stay on the Dalmatian coast - perched above a picturesque bay and small harbour this spacious villa is surrounded by beautiful terraces and a landscaped garden brimming with fruit trees and flowers. Nowhere will you find a better choice of patios or terraces on which to have breakfast, lunch, an evening drink or organise a BBQ, and nowhere will you feel more immediately unwound from the stresses of everyday life. We spent a fablulous, relaxing week at Villa Anna with close adult friends, one couple occupying the main part of the property and the other in the 'annex', which has a separate entrance but still adjoins the main part fo the villa. The villa is full of Croatian character and it felt like we were staying in someone's home rather than rented accommodation. Whilst some parts (e.g the kitchen) would perhaps benefit from some updating, this adds to the charm and relaxed feel of the whole place. The swimming pool, located at the top of the garden, has a breathtaking outlook over the surrounding bays and countryside - wooden recliners with towels rolled up like a 5-star hotel made us feel very special! Tanya and Mladin, the charming owners, live in a separate property within the grounds of the villa, and were on hand if we ever needed some advice or help with things. Tanya very kindly put us in touch with a local man from whom we hired a small motor boat (perfect for exploring, snorkelling and swimming around the island), which we moored all week on Tanya and Mladin's private mooring at the bottom of steps below the property. The small, quiet harbour village of Bobovisca n/m (5 mins walk) has a couple of bars/restaurants and a shop for basic essentials (really just catering for the locals and visiting yachts), so a car is essential for more varied food items and restaurants (nearest main supermarket at Sutivan, less than 10 mins by car), and also for exploring more of the beautiful island of Brac. Overall, we had a fantastic and very relaxing week's holiday in Villa Anna - we were two adult couples and had a large amount of space between us, both inside and out, but this property would equally work really well for a large family group where different levels of privicy are sought. We understand that the former President of Slovenia took his holidays here for five years in a row - we can understand why he kept coming back and we hope to do the same!

The perfect holiday
This was to be my 60th birthday/retirement holiday with my wife, 2 sons and their partners, hoping to recreate the holidays we so much enjoyed when they were boys. We were not disappointed in any way, the accomodation was exceptional, the views from the various patios were endless, the pool was superb. We also took the boat hire option and had huge fun messing about in the bays, snorkelling in the crystal clear water or just exploring the various coves and beaches. The owners, Tania and Mladin were the nicest people, not at all intrusive but there if you needed them. Would we go back again.....definitely, we all agreed it was the best holiday ever.

Dream House in dream location
We wanted a great family vacation with our children (Parents 60+, children 30+) . Villa Anna is a perfect place for a larger group, everybody finds his spot in the beautiful garden, poolside, porch. It was always the question to stay at home or still to leave the property for a few hours to visit the surrounding lovely harbor towns. The younger generation loved the pool which is very well kept, I still preferred to swim in the sea, which you reach about 100 steps going down.On the 2 rainy days we enjoyed the really cozy house. The pictures in the brochure are real, maybe reality is even better! The owners are most helpful (met us for pickup, would bring some of us with the car to Supetar, where the ferry leaves). It is probably hard to find a better place near the sea.

About the neighbourhood
One of the largest but also one of the most accessible islands ,and also one of the sunniest. Famose for its agricultural products :good olive oil, wine, figs but most famose for its white stone recognised all over the world. The people on the island live in 23 lovely little towns and old villages ,attractive for their local restaurants, cafes, cultural values and historical attractions. Special interest are numerous old litle churches all over the island and a fantastic monastery of Blaca partly built in a rock. Many beautiful beaches and bays all around the Island to explore , enjoying in the old olive groves and vineyards,up to the highest peak of Adriatic islands - Vidova gora (mountain). The fascinating view to the other islands, and a traditional taverne to take a break. Bobovisca harbour is a lovely little hamlet typical for its rural Mediterranean architectury. It is set in a sheltered deep cove, protected from winds by surrounding hills. You can choose to swim in a clean sea,go fishing, walking along the coast explore other coves with a boat, drink coffe in the cafe next to the sea looking to the boats, or have dinner in a local restaurant expecting a summer local festivities. Or you just can enjoy the privacy of your villa with a cool drink and stunning view.
