Llandeilo is situated in the stunning Towy Valley, one of the most beautiful in Britain and near to the Brecon Beacons. With its wild mountains where magnificent Red Kites soar, nearby historic towns, famous gardens, Roman sites, gold mines and romantic castles, it’s a valley rich in myth, legend and history and leads to some of Britain's finest beaches. The area is very popular for walkers and cyclists all year round. Local walks include Penlan Park at the top of the town and the historic Swing Bridge in the valley below. Llandeilo also has its very own castle situated in Dinefwr Park where you can also visit the very impressive Newton House, owned by the National Trust. This magnificent mansion provides an atmospheric circa 1912 experience. Exhibitions on the first floor tell Dinefwrs story and inspires you to explore the castle and park. A wonderful place to stay, the owners were very hospitable and supported us with help and queries throughout our stay. The bathrooms are exceptional and a very high standard. The communal kitchen diner area is very cosy with a super warm log burner. The views are spectacular to the rear of the property and there are local shops within minutes of walking for anything you need. There are local attractions to visit within a short drive or even a leisurely walk such as a castle. The property and space within it is spacious and cosy and give you scope to wash clothing, iron and much more. PlayStation available for young ones and Netflix for movies too or Prime for sports too.. 👌 Would definitely stop over again. Well recommended
