Perfect Home Away From Home
We stayed at Acres End for a week, to allow us the opportunity to visit family. We are a family of 5, with three children. Acres End was absolutely perfect, everything we needed, everything worked, was totally spotlessly clean. The home was so much bigger and better than expected, the garden even more so. Absolutely LOVED the massive interesting garden. Marion was endlessly helpful and kind. The location was perfect for visiting family and so convenient for the Titanic Museum and Belfast Zoo. Will definitely use again if available next time we visit.

Acres End a little piece of tranquility
Acres End is only a 5 minute drive from Carrickfergus town and 10 minutes drive from Belfast City. Everything is available within easy reach. The house was well laid out and clean/tidy. The garden area is beautiful and well kept. There are many trips to do like the Belfast City bus Tour which includes discounts for various other tours. The Giants Caausway is only 85 nins drive and there are many Game of Thrones locations within a 40-70 min drive.

Spacious, comfortable and private rental in Carrickfergus
We wanted to stay in the greater Belfast area for several nights and found Acres End in nearby Carrickfergus. The description on the website indicated that it should have plenty of room - we were a party of 4 - but we were pleasantly surprised by the space. The dining area, kitchen and sitting room were all quite large and well-appointed. The Wifi/internet worked very well for both me and my daughter. The back yard was very large and private - nice garden, big table and lots of space. The location in Carrickfergus was ideal for us. It only took us about 15 minutes to get to downtown Belfast where we enjoyed the Titanic Experience and a Black Cab Tour. We also found it was easy to go north to the Antrim coast and visit the sites, including the Giant's Causeway. As for amenities, we visited the Tesco Superstore - about 10 minutes away - to get most of our groceries and wine. There is a smaller SPAR grocery store a little closer in. Overall, our experience with Acres End was terrific and our communications with Maxine very smooth. I would definitely consider staying here again and would heartily recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, private rental close to Belfast.

Lovely property, great location
A truly delightful property in a great location, everything you need for your stay included. Maxine was very helpful and made us feel welcome, even prior to our arrival. The garden is superb, private and south facing, though we were blessed with lovely weather for the week we stayed. The floorboards upstairs are quite creaky and the low water pressure makes the shower in the main bedroom a bit slow, but nonetheless, it was still refreshing to use. Only the master bedroom had a TV, maybe a TV in the other bedrooms would be a good addition. Overall a delightful property and well worth the money.

2 weeks on a Business Trip
We were working in the area and as we were staying more than a few nights we wanted to be able to cook for ourselves and do our own thing. We absolutely loved this house and are very sad we can't have it during the time we are next working near by! The house was very large and had everything we needed in it. Bedding and towels were all washed and changed for us whilst we were there. Everything was very clean and tidy and the kitchen really well equipped. We particularly liked the large hall downstairs as it meant we could do our morning exercises! Although it wasn't really an issue, the 'ensuites' don't actually have toilets so I ended up creeping down the very creaky hallway in the middle of the night trying not to wake anyone up.

An enjoyable stay in a comfortable house
Stayed here as a family of seven for four days. This house ticked all the required boxes for a group this size: spacious, comfortable, well-equipped and a pleasure to stay in - it was a real 'home from home' for us. We all enjoyed our time spent in Acre's End - so much so that one of our boys said 'I wish we could LIVE here!', and would have no hesitation in recommending it to other families who want a base where they can totally relax before exploring the many attractions in the area.

Great house
We loved this house, it was perfect for us, we were a party of five adults and one child. The house had everything that was needed and was very handy for day trips out. The house had a great dining area and a good size sitting room. The only thing that was not ideal was the showers which we found to be unsuitable as they had no power. We found this the only thing that we would not give top marks for. We would gladly use this house again.

Superb: spacious, brilliantly equipped, and close to all transport and amenities
What a fabulous property. Plenty of room for three couples and some children. Great bathrooms, one with a whirlpool bath. Plenty of space to enjoy the TV {3D for our stay}, reading, playing games or just chilling out. Lovely gardens to relax in. Superbly equipped. Situated in a quiet, wooded lane just off the famous A2 Coastal Road, close to Belfast and just a few minutes from Carrickfergus with its castle and eateries. Close to railway stations (Belfast to Larne line) and buses on the main road. Plenty of off road parking. Very friendly welcome and assistance. We had a wonderful short break, we attended a family wedding with all our family together in the one property, we were sorry to leave.
