Seaview indeed!
Just back from a weeks family break....and what a break it was! This is a fabulous apartment in the most stunning and peaceful setting right on the sea front...10 paces and you are on the shore at the slipway......5 minutes walk from stunning Red bay beach. Front patio is great spot to watch the world go by and has the sun all day....the patio to the rear gets the sun all evening....Perfect! The apartment is modern and so well fitted out and has everything you could want with little special touches...Sky television....double bedroom has patio doors onto the rear patio.....just lovely.....The village of Cushendall is just a 5 minute walk away and has all you need there and its beautiful. Loads to see and do in the area for all the family. Una and Alistair are the perfect hosts and nothing is too much trouble.

Deserves Credit
We had a wonderful vacation staying in this perfect little gem and the owner Una was the perfect host so when it was time to book accommodation for our next trip to Ireland there was no question as to where we were going to stay. In the meantime we found ourselves in the midst of the worst pandemic the world has ever known. Flights were cancelled with airlines grounded but cancellations fees being charged with no refunds only credits given and the same with cruise lines in our case 25% cash refund and balance held as future cruise credit. I could not believe it when Una contacted me to inquire if I wanted a full refund or to make a booking for another time. This lady has been the only ethical person I have come across in the past 2 months when trying to cancel through no fault of my own what was a big trip including multiple flights and a 14 day cruise. Thank you Una you deserve kudos for being so understanding.

Amazing location
An amazing, relaxing location with the sea just outside your front door. An ideal base for exploring The Causeway Coast. The apartment had all the mod cons & Una was on hand for any requests. She had thought of everything, very thoughtful with all of the welcome bits & pieces. I enjoyed having my breakfast sat by the window looking out at the beautiful bay each morning & my evening meal at the end of the day. Highly recommended, sad to say goodbye.

Close to everything
We spent about 3 weeks here and enjoyed it immensely. Nothing like a morning coffee as you watch the heartbeat of the Earth lap against the pier. A feast for the senses. Comfortable and quiet bedrooms. Even a clothesline out back to infuse your clothes with lovely smells. I would do it all again in a heartbeat.

Excellent Stay
Well appointed apartment with all the necessary bits for your stay. Good reading material provided on the local area and literature. Warm cosy stay, it was a bit chilly outside for summer but the flat was just right. Una met us although we were delayed and covered all the gadgets and how to put the heating on. As well as central heating it has an open gas fire which was novel since we had been burning peat elsewhere in Donegal before we arrived in Antrim. Nice to watch the changing coastal view from the sea front apartment.

About the neighbourhood
Cushendall is the largest of a range of villages along the Causeway Coastal route on the Antrim Coast Road road about halfway between Larne and Portrush. It hosts one of the most successful community festivals in Ireland - The Heart of the Glens festival, annually in August. The village is well equipped with good restaurants, pubs, takeaways and supermarkets. It has an excellent Pharmacy and Medical Centre, a number of hairdressers, library and Tourist Information Centre. It has a rich culture of hurling and camogie with many opportunities to watch a match in the local playing fields. Also traditional Irish music can be heard in the local pubs. Sailing, boating, golfing and fishing are also popular sports and more recently running and cycling. The area offers great opportunities for some beautiful walks and rambles and the local walking group offer a monthly Sunday morning walk with details in the Tourist Centre. Giant's Causeway and Bushmills Distillery are only half an hour's drive and many of the 'Game of Thrones' scenes are easily found and worth a visit. Within an hour's drive you can visit many of the major tourist attractions in Northern Ireland. 'the Glens folk' are renown for their hospitality and helpful manner and you are always guaranteed a warm welcome and friendly smile. The apartment itself is walking distance to village, beach, golf club, local restaurants, pubs and shops. It is a ground floor two bedroom 'sea view' apartment in a quiet residential location with stunning views over Red Bay and Antrim Coast Road. To the front you have a small jetty with rock pools, to rear access to the beach, golf club and the children's play park only a short dander. Ideal for wonderful walks with mind blowing views. Central for touring Northern Ireland's wonderful coastline and major tourist attractions.
Getting around
Cushendall and the Glens of Antrim is an 'Area of Outstanding Beauty'. The village is located on the Causeway Coastal route between Larne and the Giants Causeway steeped in the beauty of mountains and sea. There are several tour guides in and around the Glens area who provide a service to our visitors. These include the history and tour of many of the tourist attractions around the coast and Belfast. We recommend Craicntour or Milliken Tours, more details can be found on Tripadvisor site or google.

How to get there
If arriving in Belfast, take a leisurely drive North following the brown signs for the Causeway Coastal route taking in the wonderful views and villages along the way. When you reach Larne, follow the Antrim Coastline keeping the sea on your right, through many small villages until you come to Cushendall. As you enter the village, take the first road to your right (Dalriada Avenue) and follow this road to the sea! You will see the apartment located at the small jetty. If coming into Belfast International, (outside Antrim) take the signpost for Ballymena, M2 north/Ballymena direction - take the signs for Ecos centre then Cushendall, after you come off the roundabout on the Cushendall Road, drive straight for 18 miles until you reach the Cushendall village. As you enter the village, Eurospar is in front of you, turn right and as you take a slight bend to the right, take next road on the left (Dalriada Avenue) - continue down the hill to the sea!
