Welcome to 'The Old End' in the peaceful village of Sheldon, three miles from Bakewell, Derbyshire in the heart of the stunning Peak District National Park.

'The Old End' is a two bedroom character cottage and is believed to be the oldest standing building in Sheldon - a building resembling the current footprint is shown on the Senior Map of 1617 and it is thought that the window on the gable end predates this. It has many original features, sympathetically restored but with modern amenities including under-floor heating, log burning stove and a downstairs toilet. Walks into the countryside from your doorstep and with a pub just up the road serving delicious food - who could ask for more?

We had five nights here myself wife and two dog's. The photographs off the cottage don't do it justice as it is bigger than it looks. Lovely tiled hallway with boot rack and bench seating all our walking gear and dog harnesses left in there....More

My husband and I and our 2 dogs duke and Katie had a fantastic break in this lovely cottage.very spacious and well equipped kitchen we ate in every night and there was even a slow cooker with recipes.The door to the main bedroom was a...More
