The cottages are within a 4 minutes walk of Clogher beach and a 10 minutes walk from the set of the Tom Cruise / Nicole Kidman movie 'Far and Away'. A short five minutes drive from the cottages takes you to the Blasket Island centre, with the ferry to the Great Blasket Island only a few minutes further away. The town of Dingle / An Daingean is a 20 minute drive for shopping, restaurants or an evening out at the numerous pubs. The location of Suantra is simply breathtaking, its hard to imagine that places like this exist...it looks like it could be part of a movie set.

Family holiday.
Had an amazing stay. Brian was an excellent host. He grew up in the area so was very knowledgeable, he had a fair few tales to tell which were very interesting. Extremely clean and a good size for our family of 4. Room for a few more too. Your on the slea head drive so the views were amazing. We will definitely be back.

Suantra Serenity
We spent eight nights in October 2017 at Suantra Cottages. Our hostess, Sharon O'Connor, gave us truly exceptional Irish hospitality! Everything we needed was stocked in our charming cottage and we absolutely loved the location. Sharon was wonderful to us when the hurricane "Storm Ophelia" placed the whole of Ireland under red alert. Sharon would not hear of us driving on the day of the storm and insisted that we stay an extra night. Sharon brought (flashlights) torches, candles, water, turf bricks to burn and some DVDs for our comfort. The cottage was our cozy refuge and we felt very safe. Sadly, there were three deaths during the storm and these occurred due to trees falling on roads and cars. By the end of our visit, we felt as though we had made a dear friend on account of Sharon's kindness and care towards two travelling Canadians! We can hardly wait to return to Ireland, Dingle, and Suantra Cottages!

The Perfect location in Ireland
We stayed a week at this location during our month long tour of Ireland and it was by far the most beautiful and stunning location we visited. The cottage was itself lovely, we were greeted by the owner's daughter who went above and beyond to see that we had everything we needed. After weeks of traveling and seeing the sights we needed a place to relax and unwind and in this part of the world it is just perfect. The area is stunning and it is perfect if you prefer to just take lovely walks and relax but there are also many places to explore. The sunrise and the sunsets are beautiful and the 5 min walk down to Clogher beach is breathtaking. You are close enough to Dingle to take in the town or just enjoy the pubs in Ballyferriter which are 5 mins away. Everything you need is in the cottage and it is cosy and comfortable, good wifi, laundry facility, and the owners can answer any questions about the area. We would love to stay again when we return to the area.

Perfect Irish vacation at Suantra Cottages
On our third trip to the Dingle Peninsula, my husband and I decided to rent a housekeeping cottage for a week, and it turned out to be a brilliant idea! We loved it so much, we have booked a 3-week return trip for Spring of 2016. The location of the cottage is nothing short of spectacular - across the road from the breathtaking Clogher Beach, and there are walking trails directly out the front door that take you through vast green fields, along the cliffs overlooking the sea. We are a painter/photographer and an avid hiker, so this place was perfect for us. The cottage itself, nestled into this amazing setting, is quaint, cozy and immaculate. The owners have thought of everything their guests could possibly want or need. The little kitchen is very well equipped, the beds are comfortable, the living area is cozy, and there is a view from every window. There is a washer and dryer on premises and the Internet connection is fast and reliable. Do not plan on watching television, as channels are limited - but maybe that's not such a bad thing! From the cottage, Dingle town - with its pubs, shops and harbor - is a 15-minute drive. Ballyferriter is just 5 minutes away. There is a delightful cafe (at Louis Mulcahey Pottery) within walking distance, where you can find a healthy, delicious lunch and lovely sweets. The owner of the cottages lives nearby, and is a lovely lady, who will welcome you and do everything possible to make your stay comfortable. In case you couldn't tell, I highly recommend Suantra Cottages and can't wait to get back!

Great value, great view
My brother-in-law made the reservation, but I stayed here with my husband. We had a wonderful time and would go back. If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing place, this is it. The lack of cable and Internet were a bonus for us. A phone would be nice for emergencies, given that US ones don't work in Ireland. There is a great view of the ocean in the front and verdant hills at the back. Various trails are nearby if you like hiking. The rooms are indeed small, but fine for a rental. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom and the kitchen functional. The pine furniture worked well for the place. We were early in the season, so it took quite a bit to heat up the place (even with the fireplace), and the owner charges a lot for electricity (thus the 4 stars instead of 5). There is a washer/dryer, but you have to put in coins for electricity, and it doesn't tell you how much you need for a load. Since our cellphones from the States don't work in Europe, I had no way to inquire from the owner, who would do well to put a sign in there. You will need a car: Dingle is about 20 mn away, and the only thing you could reach by foot after quite a hike is a pub. The great advantage of this place is its position on the scenic road of the peninsula. There are so many attractions within an hour's drive that you won't have time to see them all.

Very cosy but a bit dated
Our Host (Phil) was excellent and made us feel very welcome. The little cottage was very cosy despite wet and windy Dingle weather. Phil provided us with a good starter pack for the fire which warmed the cottage very well. The cottage was small, quiet and cosy but the cottage and fixtures are starting to be a bit dated. These days internet access should be as standard as TV. The furniture and bathroom fittings are quaint but probably due for updating. We had no issues except that since the cottage had probably been closed up for the winter we had a few too many insects such as slatters in the bathroom and bedroom. The cottages are well located and an easy drive to Dingle town and some very nice pubs at Ballyferriter.

Wonderful Cottage
We had a fantastic stay at Suantra cottage. We loved the scenery, privacy, closeness to ocean, and hiking. We enjoyed going to the St Paddy's day parade and pubs in Ballyferriter. Philomena was a good host and the cottage was everything we needed to enjoy the Dingle peninsula.

Its a grand view!
My husband and I stayed for a week in early August and had a wonderful time. We had the best view on the island and checked the weather every morning by how much we could see of Sybil's Head. Mrs. O'Conner was a welcoming hostess and the cottage was as advertised. The adult irish language school happened to be in session in Ballyferriter the same week we were visiting and so the little village was hopping. Easy access to all the points of interest on the peninsula.
