Tigh Nell is in the picturesque village of Kilcooley, in the heart of the Gaeltacht area. Located at the foot of Mount Brandon and Carraig Hill, Tigh Nell has stunning views of the surrounding countryside and Mount Brandon. There are four local pubs where good food and drink can be enjoyed with traditional music and craic.
The location makes Tigh Nell an ideal base for touring the Dingle Peninsula. The Blasket Islands, Slea Head Drive, Ventry and Castlegregory are all within 30 minutes drive of the house. Dingle town is 15 minutes away by car and boasts lively pubs and wonderful restaurants. There are also a number of festivals in the local area such as the Dingle International Film Festival and the Ballydavid Blues Festival.

Cosy cottage, delightful stay
Tigh Nell has been beautifully renovated and has a cosy lounge, 2 big, well furnished bedrooms, high quality furniture, a solid fuel range in the kitchen and an open fire for winters evenings. The owner, Mary was very helpful and friendly at check in and check out and the house is in the nicest part of the Dingle peninsula. Our kids hadn't expected wifi but this worked well and assisted new year greetings back home.

Lovely accommodation
This house is beautifully renovated and very clean and comfortable. All amenities are modern and easy to use. Very scenic location. We really enjoyed our stay here. Hope to be back.

absolutely delightful
I spent a week in Tigh Nell What a delightful house in a magnificent location The house is ideally situated for walking with fantastic restaurants nearby Mary who is in charge could not be more helpful So accommodating and kind The house is very comfortable spotlessly clean beautiful furniture an ideal base to discover the magic of the area

Nice place, good price
We stayed here for three nights with three children ages 7, 4, and 17 months (in baby cot). The accommodations are part of a larger house but set apart so that you feel like you are in as smaller house of your own. Furnishings are nicely updated and modern, rooms are spacious, and the place is clean very clean although we noticed that our feet turned black if we walked around barefoot. It may just mean that the wooden floors needed to be cleaned more regularly. The place definitely wasn't dusty and was spotless otherwise. Beds and pillows were amazingly comfortable. There are stairs leading up to the bedrooms and bathroom, so I wouldn't recommend it for people with really small children who don't have a lot of experience with stairs. Our daughter does have experience and was fine. It was definitely nice to have a washer and dryer. The kitchen was decently stocked. A small grocery store is withing walking distance, which is nice, and the place is very close to the coast. It's a bit further out from Dingle (10 minutes), so keep this in mind when you book, but it's a fantastic price. Mary, the host, is lovely and takes excellent care of her guests. She is very responsive. It was a bit tricky to find the place. Follow the signs to Hurley's Farm once you see them. That's the same as taking you to the apart/house. There wasn't any wi-fi when we were there, and we found this to be a bit of a pain because we use it to plan our activities.

Beautiful cottage in a great location.
We had a very enjoyable week staying in this cottage. The owner runs a B&B next door and is very friendly and helpful. The cottage is very comfortable and ideally situated for exploring the Dingle peninsula.

Very comfortable and good location for walking
Very friendly welcome and Mary was very helpful throughout our weeks stay in this beautiful area. TV and Wi Fi excellent for this remote area. Property was a bit difficult to find when coming in from R549 but easier from R559 where signposted on road at Boherboy.
Beds, shower,heating and all other amenities were 1st class.

Great house, beautiful location.
We had a fantastic stay at this house outside of Dingle. The owner was friendly and helpful and the house had all we needed. Basic but very comfortable accommodation perfect for our family.

Tout le confort au calme
Ce cottage est situé en plaine campagne, à quelques centaines de mètres de la côte et 10 à 12 minutes de Dingle. Il est voisin de la maison des propriétaires qui tiennent aussi un B&B.
Les lieux sont spacieux et particulièrement bien équipés, la literie est remarquable.
Nous y avons passé une excellente semaine au calme.

Nice stay
We had lovely stay in this house for a week in august. Rooms are nice size & kitchen is very well equipped. Beautifully located in the countryside 10km from dingle town. Only disappointment was the pubs & restaurants mentioned in the description were not within walking distance.3.6km to nearest pub.
Also there was a charge for electricity on top of rental price which was priced high.
We had a lovely stay & would recommend it as very scenic views.

Beautiful cottage
Having just returned from spending a week with my husband and two children in this delightful cottage. Beautifully finished, fabulous Queen size bed which was extremely comfortable for a holiday home.Mary was so welcoming and very knowledgeable about the area. Even had delicious homemade scones for us on arrival. Couldn't recommend this cottage enough. 10 minute drive from Dingle so a car is advisable.

Hurleys Farm is situatied in the parish of Baile na nGall (Ballydavid) it is one of Ireland’s unspoiled gems. Incorporating the villages of Ballydavid, Feothneach and Muirioch with its sheltered coves, rolling hills, sandy beaches and stunning cliffs. An ideal place to spend a relaxing holiday enjoying a walk in the beautiful country side taking in the many historical sights ,catching some big fish off the cliffs or just having the craic in the many local sea-side pubs offering amazing food and traditional music.<BR><BR>The Dingle Peninsula boasts the highest concentration of archaeological sites in Ireland. Some of the most impressive are located within a few miles of the Hurley Farm such as Gallarus Oratory, Kilmalkeder Church, An Riasc, Ballydavid Tower and many more.

How to get there
The nearest airport is Farranfore which is 60km away from Tigh Nell. Hire cars are available from the airport. The railway terminates in Tralee which is 40 km from Tigh Nell. It is also possible to arrange a hire car from the Enterprise Car Hire which is directly across the road from the train station in Tralee. When driving to Dingle from Tralee, you have a choice of two routes, the regular route through villages Annascaul and Lispole, or you can take the Conor Pass which has amazing views of both sides of the peninsula as you cross the mountains. On arrival in Dingle you drive through the town following signs for Ballydavid. Tigh Nell is 10km from Dingle town. See the map for the exact location and directions.
