The beautiful, award-winning Inchydoney beach (Consistently voted as the 'Best beach in Ireland!', with awards for both cleanliness and quality of water - perfect for swimming, surfboarding or just relaxing in!) lies directly below the cottage, we even have a private path leading down to the beach for guests to use!
Our cottage offers an ideal base for you to begin your journey of discovery along Ireland's stunning and one-of-a-kind 'Wild Atlantic Way'.
All amenities provided - washing machine, oven, grill, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, waffle maker, toasted sandwich maker and even a smoothie maker - great for that morning boost!
You'll notice and appreciate the lovely little personal touches during your stay at our cottage, to help you feel right at home during your time in Inchydoney.
Double bedroom with en-suite sleeps up to 2 people, twin bedroom sleeps up to 2 people, and the bunk bedroom sleeps up to 2-3 people (top bunk has a single bed, bottom bunk has a double bed) - If you're staying with us and have a baby or toddler, we can also provide a cot for them for your stay!
To allow for the absolute best nights sleep possible for our guests (especially after a day of exploring, or relaxing on the beach!), all bedrooms in the cottage have had brand new pillows and duvets put in, with both soft and firm pillows provided. Additional pillows and duvets are also available upon request.
Two bathrooms in the cottage: one en-suite shower and toilet in the main double bedroom, along with a second guest shower and toilet located in the hallway area.
Fresh, fluffy towels, face cloths, shampoo, showel gel & soap are provided for all of our guests. Handy amenity kits are also provided in each of the bathrooms. A hair dryer is also available in the cottage.
A comfortable, spacious & inviting living area complete with a fully equipped kitchen, dining table, couch, armchairs and coffee table, along with a 32' flatscreen HD television with satellite freeview, local TV & radio channels along with a brand new Roku smart box for YouTube, Netflix and other smart app access to keep you entertained in the evenings!
Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi Internet access is available in all areas of the cottage for guests to use - great for planning those day trips, researching things to do in the area and keeping in touch with family and friends!
A selection of wholesome breakfast cereals, regular and delicious specialty herbal teas, coffee and condiments are available in the cottage for our guests to use at their leisure.
For guests that would like any celebratory items to be left for them or their partner/family, such as wine, chocolates, balloons or cards, just send me a message and I can discuss these options with you. We always enjoy helping our guests out with special occasions!
Three private relaxation areas outside in front of the cottage for you to use, with tables and seating; a patio area with seating and deckchairs right outside the front door, lovely sitting area with a wooden bench in front of the house, and also a raised garden area with a mosaic table & chairs, along with great views of the stunning Inchydoney beach and beyond, of course!
We also have a BBQ on-site for guests to use if they wish, and we even provide the charcoal, firelights and BBQ fluid - great for the warm summer evenings outside on the patio!
There is also a shed in the garden area which guests are welcome to use to store bikes, swimming/surfing equipment etc.
Situated just a 3-minute walk from the beautiful Inchydoney beach via our own private path, it is a perfect spot for all seasons.
Supermarkets, shops, restaurants and pubs in Clonakilty town are only a 5 minute drive away from our property, or a leisurely walk along the Inchydoney road.
Rental bicycles with the local rent-a-bike scheme are also available for a small fee only a five minute stroll from the cottage. A great way to get out and explore the area and to cycle into Clonakilty town!
With so much to see and do in the local area and beyond, you will never be left bored!

Overlooking the beach at Inchadoney, we stayed at this beautiful tranquil little cottage for 5 day's. To be honest we asked if we could stay longer, but alas we could not as Sam, Angela & family were expecting more guests later on Monday. Only 4 kilometers from Clonakilty town & we were in heaven. The beach is blue flaged & suitable for surfers of all capabilities. A beach walkers paradise. We were greated on arrival with a welcome hamper, freshly cut flowers and chocolates on the pillows, it was just divine. The breeze was gentle for and autumn evening and let me tell you every minute of the day was a photo for social media. The cottage so so clean. The nights were so so cozy. We wanted for nothing. We had a beautiful meal at Inchydoney Island Lodge and Spa. We visited The West Cork Model Railway Village in Clonakilty. We did some sight seeing, a little shopping & a coffe in the beautiful town of Clonakilty. So to sum up I would recommend a trip to this Idyllic Inchydoney Island Beach Cottage. I have been from India to Scotland and I have to say this was the best place to be by far. So enjoy a little piece of heaven on earth from me, my son & my sister. We will be back for sure. Being right by the sea, you are free to enjoy the fresh air, a wonderful swim or even a surf! Our Inchydoney beach is an award-winning beach, consistently voted the Best Beach in Ireland.
It has been awarded a blue flag beach multiple years in a row due to its exceptional cleanliness of water.
We are sure you'll enjoy the wonderful, million-dollar views our cottage also offers of the beach and the Atlantic ocean! We are perfectly positioned along the Wild Atlantic Way for you to explore the nearby little towns and villages also.
Getting around
There are multiple options for you to explore and get to Inchydoney.
We have regular bus services to and from Cork City and other little towns in West Cork, meaning you can easily access Clonakilty Town from Cork Airport or Cork City.
There are also many car rental companies in Cork City and at Cork Airport.
Inchydoney and Clonakilty also have a lovely inexpensive local bike rental scheme, and Inchydoney Island has a bike rental point only a five minute walk away from the cottage, meaning you can cycle into the local town too!

We are a short 5-10 minute drive from Clonakilty Town, or a leisurely 30-40 minute walk along the Inchydoney road - Clonakilty Town is easily accessible via a regular daily bus service, taxi or car.
Cork Airport and Cork City are approximately a 45 minute drive away from the cottage.
We provide full directions to the cottage for your convenience, and offer a self check-in option at the cottage via lockbox, so you can easily access the keys at any time of day.
