Overview Fisherman’s rest is aptly named as it is looking right on to the sea, If you step out the door and across a narrow road you are on a pebbly beach, more sandy when the tide is out. If you fancy a morning dip in Dingle Bay you’re in exactly the right spot. Looking out the windows you have the sea in front of you, Inch beach and the Dingle peninsula to your right and the splendour of the Iveragh peninsula to your left.  This house is newly built to the highest specification, it sleeps eight extremely comfortably with very tasteful luxurious bedrooms and bathrooms and comfortable, elegant, smart, bright living room, kitchen and dining area looking out at the sea. As the sun goes down over the bay, in front of you, expect amazing light and red skies. Local Area Fisherman’s rest is in Cromane which is home to Ireland's largest natural mussel beds (up to 80,00 tonnes are harvested each year). The village sits at the base of a narrow shingle spit, with open fields giving way to spectacular water vistas and multi hued sunsets Jack’s Coastguard Pub and Restaurant, a 19th-century coastguard station, is 10 minutes walk from the house. The Pub is a lovely traditional pub where locals gather for a pint. Some of the area's best seafood is served in Jack’s restaurant which looks out on Dingle Bay. The pub and restaurant are both family friendly. There is a pebbly beach right in front of the house or drive 9 minutes to Dooks beach, a beautiful little protected beach on the estuary of the Caragh river, or 15 minutes to Rossbeigh beach, a very long sandy beach that juts out into Dingle bay, great for a long walk. It’s a 10 minute drive to the town of Killorglin, a bustling town with good restaurants and many friendly pubs. Killorglin is famous for Puck Fair which takes place in August every year when King Puck, a goat, is raised up on a stand in the square. Needless to say there is plenty of music, craic and fun for all the family. You will find all the shops you need with several excellent butchers, a lovely fresh fish shop, a bakery/delicatessen with delicious breads, cheeses and cakes and three supermarkets. 15 minutes drive, out the Wild Atlantic Way is the lovely village of Glenbeigh, here there are two hotels that serve food and the latest addition, Emilie’s, a cute bakery/pizzeria that serves delicious pizzas made in their huge wood fired oven. There is also a buzzy pub that is the centre of local action. All the pubs and restaurants are family friendly. This is a fantastic location to tour the breathtaking scenery of the Ring of Kerry route around the Iveragh Peninsula, or head over to Dingle and take the Slea Head drive. Cromane is in the Reeks district and if you want to get active this is the place to be. Try one of the Big 5 guided adventures of the Reeks district: Climb Ireland’s highest mountain, kayak the lenght of Caragh Lake, surf Inch Beach, cycle the Ring of the Reeks or stand up paddle board on Cloon Lake. Living area The lounge overlooks the sea, it is decorated in elegant tones of grey, with two comfortable couches, and a large coffee table for all your books and magazines. It has a sleek wall hung electric fire with flames that give a warmth to the room. The wall hung TV has BBC, Channel 4, Sky sports and Sky movies and many other channels. The Sky Movies channels gives you great free films. The classic grey kitchen units have a natural wooden work surface and a breakfast bar with stools for a casual snack or to entertain the chef. The kitchen contains an induction hob, electric oven, dishwasher, blender, espresso machine, kettle and toaster. The chic dining suite is well lit with 4 hanging lamps and will easily fit 9 people. Kitchen This new bright kitchen diner has a lovely wood table that comfortably seats and eight, sitting here you are looking straight out to sea as you eat. It is another elegant space with cream walls and a wood floor. The kitchen is a bright warm space with white cupboards, a wood floor, a large island with three high stools at it, an electric hob, an electric double oven, a dish washer, coffee maker, kettle, toaster and an American fridge freezer with ice maker. There is a wonderful two sided corner window with great views out to sea and the Iveragh peninsula. There is a separate utility room with a washing machine/dryer and lots of room for storage or drying your togs or outdoor gear. Bedrooms Fisherman’s Rest has four bedrooms. One double bedroom is ensuite with a window looking out onto the sea. Another double bedroom and a twin bedroom share a large bathroom. The large master bedroom looks out onto the patio area and has a lovely ensuite bathroom. All the doubles have king size beds and large walk in wardrobes. Bathrooms There are three bathrooms in this home. The family bathroom is huge with cool black tiles, a large modernMore
