Barralach is absolutely exceptional in that it consists of three habitable cottages let out as a single home. There are beds for up to 12 guests in three distinct cottages, providing an agreeable degree of independence. The main cottage includes the kitchen and large dining room, with a table that seats 14. There is also the large drawing room area with great log stoves and extensive library. There is unlimited free firewood from our own woods. Numerous visitors have thus declared it the perfect location for great and joyful family reunions and for specialist groups such as golfers, artists, and hikers. Only a few minutes drive away is the delightful village of Glenbeigh with its typical pubs. At 15 minutes you have ancient Killorglin of the Goat, its shops and numerous pubs and restaurants. And of course, Barralach will also provide you with the fascination of actually being amongst our sheep and lambs!More

The attractions of Glenbeigh are well presented in the community's website video www.glenbeigh.ie Key features are Rossbeigh strand, hill walking especially along the Kerry Way and horse riding including the Glenbeigh Races (generally in early September), and Dooks golf course. Caragh Lake rejoices in amazing beauty, boat fishing, Lickeen Fair in June, Puck Fair in Killorglin in August. We are only 45 minutes drive to the departure point of boats to the Skellig Islands, so justifiably a UNESCO world heritage site. The Skelligs are an historical, spiritual, ornithological and geological wonder.
