Great location, Great family friendly environment. Very clean home. Everything we needed was available. We had a party of 13 and everyone of us had a great time, It was from home to home 😀 Even my dog had a great time at the beach. Will definitely Recommend to my family and friends. Marie and her husband are lovey people.

We were a party of 6 adults staying for one week and wished we had booked for two. The house was fantastic, location and views beautiful and Marie and Bernard were just great as hosts. Very pleased with our experience, Ar fheabhas.

We had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful cottage for three nights in August. We were a family of three generations. The cottage had everything we needed. There are three double bedrooms on the ground floor, one with an en-suite and another bathroom. Upstairs has two double rooms with extra single/double beds in both and another bathroom. There was plenty of room for all 11 of us. Marie and Bernard were at hand closeby if ever we needed anything. They suggested fantastic eateries for us to try which were very tasty. I will defo be returning again. Very tranquil and stunning views. Fantastic place for family time, no stress 😎. Thanks for having us

We had a great stay in Ailt Cottage - its a large house with plenty of space and every facility you could ask for. Cozy and warm which was welcome when the wind and rain was blowing in a storm. Bedrooms all spacious and comfortable. The hosts Margaret, Marie and James were very welcoming and left plenty of useful items in the kitchen to make our stay very easy. Great for our dog too. Although the house is near a beach it wasn't possible to walk directly from the cottage which was a little disappointing.

Forced out during stay due to a plant pot being broken accidentally. We paid the damage for it which was €875 yet we were still forced out. We paid for 3 nights and we were not refunded for the 3rd night that we paid for. This resulted in us being stranded upon hours and having to walk hours with suitcases and heavy bags in torrential rain on the roads which didn’t have a footpath to try find a safe way home. Extremely disappointed as the owner of the property was also very rude!

We had a wonderful stay at Ailt Cottage, I only wish we could have stayed for longer. Margaret and James could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The cottage is very, very spacious and extremely comfortable. Donegal is beautiful and can easily be explored from the cottage, which is in a lovely quiet spot.

Lots of room in this very well equipped house. Unfortunately not within walking distance of restaurants or bars. Could easily accommodate several families. A few niggles with maintenance stopped me from giving this 5 stars but I am sure they will have been resolved by now!

Had a lovely time at this large and spacious holiday home. We travelled with 4 adults and 4 young children and there was more than enough room. We mostly used the house as a base and travelled to nearby attractions during our stay including Dunlewey Centre and Glenveigh National Park. As we didn't have much sunshine during our week stay we didn't really get to avail of the lovely garden although the children really enjoyed seeing the chickens which wanted into the garden. All cooking utensils provided that we needed. There was a slight issue with the oven however this was fixed the same evening with owners even cooking our pizzas for us in their house next door! Had a great time and wouldn't hesitate to return or to recommend to friends/family. Thanks :)

When we arrived we were totally taking back at the size of this cottage, it is beautiful inside and out, photos really don’t capture its true beauty. We stayed for a week in july, 4 adults and 3 children. There are 5 bedrooms all with double beds and 2 of those rooms have a single or toddler bed in them, 2 bathrooms and an unsuite, spacious living room and kitchen/dining area. Loads of space outside for the kids to play and very safe. Margaret and Bernard couldn’t have been more helpful. We had no phone signal but that wasn’t an issue as there was wifi but it was nice to just enjoy the time away from our busy lives. We truly enjoyed everything about our stay and we look forward to booking another holiday soon

House well furnished and clean. Plenty of room for kids to play. Loved the chickens next door. Quiet location very close to beaches, excellent for touring donegal.
