2 Bedrooms , 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 4
Whithorn, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland
This lovely, stone semi-detached house dates back to 1790 and is in a wonderful position overlooking the harbour with spectacular sea views. The house is refurbished yet retains charming original features including beamed ceilings and open fireplaces. The 'cottage style' lounge, dining room and bedrooms all have stunning views and are comfortably furnished in traditional style. There is a lovely enclosed organic garden with patio and lawn, garden furniture and barbecue. The local Steam Packet Inn in the village has won Scotland's best pub for 2014.

We visited Colebrook Cottage for the first time from the 12/05/18 to the 19/05/18. We were so pleased with this little hidden gem, we didn’t want to leave after spending a week waking up to that beautiful view. The garden is a real sun trap...More

As ever Colebrook lives up to its high standards in cleanliness, comfort and facilities. Great to see the improvements since last year and love that there is the electric blanket to keep us cosy despite the time of year. I could not fault the accommodation...More

About the neighbourhood
The Isle of Whithorn is a small picturesque harbour town with fabulous views all around. The village offers spectacular walks within 3 minutes of the house. There is a small post office which also sells a small selection of food items including bread, milk and newspapers. A fish van visits the Isle once a week at tea time and blows its horn to announce itself! Fresh fish is also available at the small shop on the Quai.

Whithorn itself, a 5 minute drive away, also has a wider range of food provision shops and other outlets such as cafes, gift shops and a chemist. As does Wigtown which is well worth a visit.
