This extremely comfortable property with it's original Victorian features and high ceilings, has been decorated in soft, restful, pastel colours and is furnished & equipped to a high standard.
The spacious, fully equipped kitchen/diner is our favourite place to socialise, with a large farmhouse table for 8 people to gather around and enjoy a meal together, whilst the sitting room, with its wood burning stove, provides a cosy space for relaxing and reading or watching TV.
We have 4 good sized bedrooms, one King & 2 Twins on the first floor and a Double on the ground floor. Our ground floor bedroom, together with our separate ground floor shower room (with fold-down shower seat) & WC, means 7 St Mary's is ideal for people with restricted mobility.
There is a bathroom on the first floor with bathtub & shower over, as well as the ground floor shower room, both with electric showers, WCs & washbasins.
An additional first floor room with desk, office chair and comfy armchair, can serve as a study or just a quiet reading room.
We have a useful laundry area complete with washing machine, tumble dryer, coat and boot storage, plus space for a pushchair if you have little ones.
The front garden has been landscaped and terraced to provide a slate-paved Al fresco dining area complete with large table and seating for 8... just perfect for enjoying the scenery whilst sharing a meal & bottle of wine with family or friends. The little ones are not left out either, as there is a Kiddies Picnic Table with an integral sandpit under the top. An additional paved area can be used for whatever you prefer... maybe relaxing in the sunshine, setting up a Barbecue, or as an extra kiddies play area. There is also a secure bike store for 3 to 4 bikes (depending on size).
At the rear of the property is a small, enclosed, courtyard area with outside store, log store, washing line and seating.
Ample parking is available on the lane to the front of the property.

7 St Mary's Terrace is located 8 miles southwest of Dolgellau in Arthog, down a quiet lane just off the A493 which leads to the small, unmanned railway halt of Morfa Mawddach. It is in an exceptional rural position at the edge of Snowdonia National Park and overlooks the RSPB Wetland Reserve of “Arthog Bog”, with superb views of the hills and mountains beyond. The area is a Mecca for bird watchers and nature lovers, as Arthog Bog is designated as a site of special scientific interest due to the weird and wonderful variety of plants, flowers, butterflies and birds are found here. Ponies and sheep are often seen grazing together with their foals and lambs in the Springtime.
A footpath cuts through the Reserve directly onto the Mawddach Trail, or, the Trail can be accessed by a short walk...
How to get there
Easy to find by car, 7 St Marys Terrace is located about 8 miles southwest of Dolgellau in Arthog, down a quiet lane just off the A493 which leads to the small, unmanned railway halt of Morfa Mawddach.
By train, use the Cambrian Line train service to Morfa Mawddach request stop. This service runs from Birmingham via Wolverhampton, Telford and Shrewsbury... and provides stunning views of the Cambrian coast.
A car is not absolutely essential, because there are both bus and train stops approx 150 metres from St Marys. Services are available to Barmouth, Tywyn, Dolgellau etc... however, we would recommend a car for greater travel flexibility, especially in the evenings.
