Very cosy, warm, perfect tiny house
Perfect location, easily accessible, stunning beaches 5 minutes away, beautiful walks. The tiny house has been well built, with great attention to details. It is well insulated and warm and contains everything you need and more, beautiful bathroom, big shower, nice big bed, well appointed kitchen space, comfy couch on which to enjoy the view or relax with a book. The artistic touch from the owner can be admired throughout the house. And last but not least: the warmest of welcome! I stayed there in August 2022 and will visit again!

We stayed at Puffin tiny house on 14th to 21st August 21. The house is quirky, quaint and beautifully set out. Suzan's paintings help to give the house its own personality. Both Suzan and Jan were very helpful in advising us of walls to match our ability and suitable places for my husband to go fishing. The bed was so comfortable, and with plenty space, even though my husband is 6ft 3 in. The Shower was lovely and always with hot water and we had no issues with the WiFi (although I am on o2 network so could not get calls). This was no hardship really. In addition the hosts were extremely helpful in allowing us to change our booking for our son to join for 2 nights and in helping us arrange somewhere to stay on.our last night. They are very friendly and close by if you need them. The house is ideally situated next to the 4 Northton beaches, Temple cafe and Croft 36 all with their own unique stamp. It is also only 30 mins drive from Tarbert ferry. You will not be disappointed if you book, we weren't! It's a lovely peaceful setting with golden eagles nesting nearby. As Arnie says - I'll be back 😄.

A very special place
We stayed here for a magical two weeks. It feels so welcoming, and I loved the beautiful artwork on the walls and on a practical side there is everything you'd need. We also loved the family story behind the place, you can really feel all the love and care that went into making these tiny houses in the many different lovely touches. We really enjoyed being minutes away from beautiful beaches and surrounded by wildlife - we had birds flying outside the house all day, and took a walk up Ceaphabhal and the headland at the end of the village and saw golden eagles and seals. We were working remotely for the first work and had been worried about internet but the internet speed is incredible - faster than I had in my flat in London, with two of us easily taking video calls. Jan and Suzan were lovely hosts, they made us feel really welcome and we loved hearing about their life on the island as well as great advice on things to do in Harris. Top tip: go to Finsbay if you want to see seals :) We left Harris very happy and will definitely be back!

Absolute heaven on Isle of Harris!
My husband and I have just had the most amazing stay at Peregrine Tiny House, in Northton on the Isle of Harris. We LOVED it! So quaint and delightful ... a real haven of tranquility amongst the fir trees with fabulous views out towards Scarista sands. What's more, it has 2 secluded beaches just tucked away at the end of the road ... deserted and truly beautiful... from there carry on up the Caepaval mountain (no track, but quite manageable) where we saw a white-tailed sea eagle! Tiny House is ideally situated to explore the area, being mid-way between the town of Leverburgh (good small supermarket ... so no need to stock up before arriving on island) and all the lovely beaches such as Scarista and Horgabost (Macleod Stone). Suzan, the owner and her daughter Systke have done an amazing job creating the Tiny Houses and Suzan has decorated them with outstanding paintings of local wildlife! She went above and beyond to make our stay special - thank you! Just opposite the property is Croft 36 with amazing bakery treats and the Temple Cafe is a stone's throw away with more home made goodies such as cinnamon buns and almond croissants. If you like sea food, meet up with Murdo on Leverburgh harbour in the early eve for the best scallops and lobster. So to sum up- delightful accommodation, amazing hosts, the best beaches in the world and wonderful local food! What more could you ask for!

Comfortable, clean and everything you need and more!
Sytske was extremely friendly and accommodating! She had even left some cake with a welcome note for us. There were so many lovely little touches in the Puffin House. We loved our stay and were so comfortable. Bed was so much more comfortable than expected and a much bigger and more luxurious shower than was expected too! Fridge was really good size... we didn't bring too much with us in case was small, but plenty of room. Cooking was easy with the appliances given and TV was modern SmartTV for points when we wanted to relax after a busy day. Wifi worked well with a fast speed and we used our NowTV stick in TV USB. The walk to the Northton beaches was just stunning, I couldn't believe they were on our doorstep. The accommodation was truly excellent, I would recommend to anyone. The price was completely reasonable given how comfortable and well finished the house was. Tips; bring more toilet roll to save buying from Coop in Leverburgh. Bring bigger towels as I found towels provided quite small and would have liked an extra towel to change to (kept falling off towel hooks in bathroom).

Little Gem
This house is one of many owned by the family - a great back to story to how they started. Beautifully made and decorated by hand. The views of the estuary are amazing (even when it is wet and windy). Great location - as in walking distance to some great beaches and walks. Also no need to go hungry as cafe and pie shop are across the road. Sytske gave us lots of information and there is a great info pack with lots of ideas. Tiny in name but big on character and all amenities catered for - TV reception was a bit hit and miss but the weather I think was the culprit. Just don't forget to take your tea bags :-)

Tiny House with Huge Appeal
This tiny house is perfect in every way. We were welcomed warmly and Sytske took time to advise us on walks, sights and restaurants we might like to enjoy. Her guidance proved invaluable. The house itself is delightful and very comfortable. There are incredible paintings throughout (painted by Sytske's mother) and the way natural treasures from beach combing trips have been incorporated into the design of the house makes this a unique and beautiful place to stay. The kitchen is well equipped, the bed extremely comfortable and there is a super shower with plentiful hot water. We felt privileged to be able to stay in this very special place and are missing the amazing views which greeted us on waking each morning. I do hope we can stay again at this most beautiful property. All best Sykske with your studies, Gillie and Chris

Fab Hospitality, Great Location and Perfect Set Up
Excellent location, perfect set up, fab hospitality. The space was well thought out. Had everything we needed. Space outside for the bikes, chairs to sit out in the sun. Views of the beach and hills. Well insulated and built. It was bigger then we expected and really enjoyed our stay. Super clean as well. Susan and Jan were excellent in offering local tips, ensure our stay was comfortable and had everything we needed. The family have done an amazing job with this wee house. We enjoyed the sun/rain/hail and snow during our stay. The beach was within walking distance, the Croft 36 had a great home cooked treats/meals. The local coop down the road in the next town was great. The location was ideal. Highly recommend.

Fantastic
Stayed for a full week.. weather not to good to start with heavy winds and rain, but several great sunny days. However the Puffin is warm cosy and offers a wonderful experience. Location is fantastic with short walks to stunning beaches. Puffin offers all the amenities and is very well designed for self catering etc. A great week and made special by staying at Puffin with the owners close by to offer any help if needed.
