Great sized property.....
Just returned from a week's stay, this property is the perfect size for large families and extended families. The property is in a great location for a 20 minute car ride to a few beaches and a drive out to other tourist towns etc. Sadly - on arrival we found the property looking very tired cosmetically, sofa held up by a block of wood, fridge door shelf held in by tape, cracked floor tiles, curtains not hanging correctly, cobwebs on the top of curtains, dust on light fittings and some furniture (my daughter wrote in the dust on the dvd player!), cracked bathroom sink, dirty armchairs and cushions, skirting boards and bathroom pipes that were dirty and dusty. A pair of knickers found wrapped inside a bedsheet. Stained and ripped tablecloth. Dirty water in the mop bucket still sat next to the fridge. After being at the property less than an hour I contacted the owner to air a few concerns and that we were disappointed - I am still waiting on a reply. Someone called one morning to put the recycling out and we were not asked if we were happy or had any concerns. The bedding, towels, toilets, sinks and showers were clean. The size of the property is perfect, it is just sad that it isn't maintained to a good standard.

Large comfortable cottage
We arrived at about 10.30 just to see where it was and going to return at 3.00pm. I called Tessa say if it was ready before could she let us know. Told it was ready and could go straight in which was nice surprise. First thing we seen going through the door was a large cake. So kettle went on and we had cuppa with a piece of the beautiful light cake so thank you Tessa. Kitchen well stocked with all you need plenty cups, plates , glasses etc. Large lounge two 3 seater and 2 small chairs. One small niggle one bedroom upstairs with very low bed, but very comfy. Every where very clean . Car parking was tight first weekend as 3 cars next door and we also had 3 cars. Nice enclosed garden so Dog was safe. We used the large BBQ one evening and did the job. Also nice having a washing machine and rotary line in the garden. Overall we all enjoyed our stay and if we visit the area again would return.

Lovely,clean,spacious and well situated.
A very spacious house for ten of us. Lovely welcome cake on arrival and helpful, friendly owners when we needed help with the patio doors. Well situated for travelling to local attractions. Lovely pub serving great food right next door. Very close to Pembroke Castle which had lots of free quality children’s entertainment on offer. Barafundle beach was an instant hit with all of us...especially the little tea shop by the car park! The coastal walk through Barafundle bay along to Broad Haven is stunning....this ends at the famous lily ponds. We would definitely recommend the house to our friends and would love to revisit sometime in the future! Thank you Tessa!

Peaceful surroundings.
Large, multi-bedded house to accommodate two families - at least!! Partially open-plan Kitchen/dining area and sitting room of fair size, but seems to lack a ‘quieter’ room, or area, for anyone wishing to ‘escape’ the family ‘hustle and bustle’ for five minutes!!. Adequately furnished and equipped. Spotlessly clean, can’t be faulted. Car parking rather tight when large house next door also multi-occupied. Didn’t meet owner during our two night stay, but was left couple of packs of Welsh cakes to enjoy with welcome ‘cuppa’. Small secluded lawned area with patio seating and barbecue. The nearby Stackpole Estate is a lovely area for exploration, and the beaches, although fairly vigorous to access, are incredible. Pembroke Castle is worthy of a visit, as is Tenby, close by. Lots of water sports and other activities in the area. Good use of cards for National Trust members. Pub at entrance to tight driveway but very quiet and no noise disturbance at all. Didn’t have time to try it!,

Great base for exploring south wales
We took our extended family and booked up both houses. We found it a perfect place to explore the area. The houses are comfortable and spacious and in easy distance to excursions. We’d happily stay again. Garden was lovely for those sunny summer days.

Perfect home for a large family and allows dogs!
I stayed here over the New Year with my husband, our three children, my parents and in-laws and our Labrador. We were very impressed when we arrived to find a large house with plenty of room for everyone. It was spotlessly clean and had all the facilities that we could possibly need. There was even a beautiful homemade cake waiting for us, along with some milk in the fridge, which was gratefully received. The location was good - only a 10 minute drive from gorgeous beaches, perfect for dog walks. We did manage to find somewhere to walk the dog without driving too, and without walking along the busy main road! Other than our dog walks we didn't go far and cooked all our meals in the house thanks to all equipment and utensils being provided. We even managed a full roast dinner. We were hoping to visit the pub that is right in front of the house (there was no noise whatsoever from it) but unfortunately they don't allow dogs inside which I thought was a shame. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a large space. It is family and dog friendly and large enough for us to all have our own space.

Christmas stay
5 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs stayed over Christmas and had a really enjoyable stay. The house is well positioned for quick trips to the lovely beaches, barafundle, freshwater west and lily ponds. The house itself felt large enough for it not to feel like we were living on top of each other, 3 bathrooms, a utility area and a decent dining area. The house was quite cold on arrival and took a while to heat, but that was probably because nobody had been in before us, once warmed it was fine (when we contacted the owner they came straight away). The house has most things you'd expect, although we did struggle a little on Christmas day with some things we needed, which is to be expected I guess. There are just a couple of details which stop me giving a 5 - towels and bedding were provided, which was great, but no bath mats or tea towels, or a mat on entering the house, parking is a little tight when there are multiple cars. Small thing but overall it was a good choice and we would definitely go back, for larger groups there is a house next door owned by the same people of a similar size.

Thanks for your review Becky, and I'm glad you had such a good holiday! All feedback is very useful and I'll be making sure that I provide bath mats and tea towels for future guests, along with getting some door mats. Best wishes, Tess

An excellent choice!
A delicious cake left for us on the table made us feel immediately welcome! We all found the house very comfortable, spacious, light, and well equipped. It was wonderful to have sufficient showers to accommodate us all, and the extra toilet downstairs was a boon. The kitchen was great for family meals and a birthday party for the youngest member of our group. Lounge furniture was excellent for lounging!! And outside the bar-b-q was put to good use. As we also had two dogs we were grateful to have the enclosed garden. Good for young children too! Our group had a wide range of ages and from this location it was very easy to find things to do for all of us..from Folly Farm for the youngest; the Lily ponds and beautiful beaches for everyone; and Pembroke Castle for a grey day. We also visited the pretty town of Narbeth where there are many interesting gift shops. The location is very quiet and yet within easy reach of so many great places that it couldn't have been better for us.We had a really great time and it proved to be an excellent choice!

Helps to bring a big group of people together
We were a group of young women who came away to Pembrookshire from Cambridge and London. We couldn't have asked for a better house, it felt like a home away from home. The house is clean and comfortable, stylish and really well equipped. We really loved the lounge, we watched films and played games in here. The big kitchen table was great for bringing us all together at meal times. Tim, one of the owners dropped by and he gave us his recommendations, we were glad we asked as his recommendations were great. The house is really well situated as close to a lot of lovely Pembrookshire sites- Stackpole Quay where we went paddle boarding; Barafundle Bay where we managed to do some sunbathing; Fresh Water West is a 10minute drive away if you wanted to go to surf school but we started a wonderful walk here up to Angle Bay; the house is only a 40 minute drive to Marlow Sands where we did another lovely walk; lastly Tenby is just a 20 minute drive away where we went for an afternoon and had lovely ice cream. The Stackpole Inn is nearby, we had a really lovely meal here. Overall we had a wonderful week at the house and in Pembrokeshire, thanks for having us Llwy Garu!

Spacious, comfortable, well equipped.
This was a perfect holiday home for a group or family. It is spacious with 2 onsuits and a main bathroom to accommodate all. The kitchen dinning area was great area for a family meal/get together. Also the beds and bedding were very comfortable which makes a difference. Great location for exploring South Pembrokeshire. A visit to the Lilly Ponds in Bosherton in June is a must! If you enjoy flying kites there's no better place than above the very beautiful Barafundle beach.
