My husband & I needed to go off grid. We live in a city & constantly live with noise & pollution & people nearby. We booked ‘In the stix’. We loved it. Quiet, secluded if you want to be. Set in a field with lovely countryside views. There are 6 domes, well positioned from each other for privacy. 5 star glamping. Everything you need, your own kitchen, hot tub & dome. Little kitchen hut is fantastic, has all you need for cooking. Nice area to sit off, the pizza oven is cool, nice to watch the fire embers die down in it also, who needs tv! Hot tub is amazing, a pure treat, big too. The dome is comfortable, nice seating area, great swing chair in living area. Log burner, fantastic. Cosy! Bed big & comfortable, nice bedding. Bathroom has everything you need, toiletries inc. All towels & bedding there. Logs included for pizza oven, log burner & hot tub. We ordered a small hamper, although it may seem expensive, the produce was first class, particularly the muffins! Hosts - Alex was really friendly , very easy to talk to., really welcoming. A bottle of fizz on arrival, really thoughtful- thanks Alex. Village 10 minute walk with amazing pub for food the wheatsheaf, the food is exceptional. I rarely revisit a place as there’s a world to explore but I would return to ‘in the stix’ and plan to . It’s a tonic & I return to the city rejuvenated & rested.

we hired 2 domes to fit our large family both domes are just perfect everything you could possibley need has been provided we had young grand children with us the freedom to run wild between the domes in complete saftey was an added bonus , the playground and brook to paddle in are firm favorites , short drive to most activities we found the rutland bell & sacrewell farm both fab days out, the nearest pubs were fully booked and could not take a table of 11 so booking would be of benifit but we stumbled on the blue ball at branston very short drive and so worth it x Alex & Darren have a wounderful place / experiance we will be returning next year

We stayed with four little dogs and had a fabulous time. The hot tub and pizza oven were a great treat. The bed was heavenly. Everything was excellent. Nice little walk to the village with 2 great restaurants. I highly recommend spending a relaxing weekend in the stix!

It was our first family holiday in Rutland, beautiful. Our stay at In The Stix was wonderful, all the Pods are luxuriously fitted out with all the facilities you need. The children made the most of their freedom running around endlessly from POD to playground. We will have to book again!

Just returned home from in the stix after a wonderful relaxing break. Set in quiet valley over looking the golf course, the domes are kitted out with all you need. Comfy seating, beds , log burner, bathroom facilities, outside you have your kitchen area with bbq/oven, with double gas hob and everything you could wish for in a kitchen. Wood fired hot tub was great to chill in or cool down in if you have weather like we did!!! Local walks, bike rides, Rutland water and much more to visit or just chill in peace and quiet with a large G&T. The Wheatsheaf is a fantastic pub 10 minutes from your dome, selling a great selection of beers, ciders and wines with a great menu. Make sure you book before you arrive as you may be disappointed as it is closed Monday, Tuesday and was ram packed when we were there. I will definitely return to in the stix again in the future, I’ve done numerous glamming trips but this was by far the best. All you need is your food and clothes. We purchased the small hamper and a chilli for our arrival which was great!!!! We’ll done Darren and Alex we really enjoyed our stay it was sooooo relaxing!!!! What can I say...In The Stix 10 out of 10... No hustle or bustle. No technology..Just pure RnR in beautiful surroundings & the most gorgeous Domes with fabulous, comfortable furniture & comfy beds. It's Glamping at its finest with a shower & toilet inside your dome & a fully equipped kitchen just outside. What better way to start your day than to sit outside & take in the beautiful scenery whilst eating a fabulous breakfast that you have just cooked yourself from one of the wonderful hampers that are on offer full of very tasty local produce. Myself,husband & 3 boys aged 17, 14 & 9 enjoyed quality time together playing games & jumping in the private hot tub to your dome...Away from the domes but within view is a climbing frame & football goal which they enjoyed playing on whilst we prepared dinner & the hot tub. The domes are separated enough & positioned in a way that you can either have privacy or can come together as a community. You can take a lovely 10min walk along the brook which takes you to two lovely village pubs & restaurants. Or you can take a drive for 20mins & there is plenty to do.. We opted for Belton House & Rutland waters. We honestly absolutely loved our stay & cannot recommend it enough.

We had a fabulous stay at the domes. We had dome no1 which was perfect as we were the furthest out on the field so had a great view and weren’t overlooked in the hot tub at all. The facilities were excellent and they had thought of everything down to cling film and kitchen roll. You cant use your own toiletries but they are provided and you can have more on request. The beds were comfortable and the hanging chair in the dome was a massive hit! The only thing we thought would have been a good idea either provided or an essential to take along with you would have been a citronella candle to keep away the bugs. The kitchen and outdoor seating area was covered at times and it was a bit off putting but they were cutting the fields around so that may have contributed. All in all a brilliant stay and I would definitely recommend if you like something different but still with a little luxury.

Wonderful stay at in the Stix in an amazing natural environment with fantastic pods a real unique experience. Excellent fantastic facilities, with your own private bathroom and kitchen with an amazing fantastic comfy bed. We had the best ever sleep. This place has everything for everyone from your very own spring watch from watching pheasants to Hares or watching the shooting stars and sky at night to chilling around the log burner or adventuring out to the local villages where you are warmly greeted. Would recommend and will be back.

We went to In the Stix for a annual company offsite and it couldn't have been a more perfect location to host this event. Our team ABSOLUTELY loved the site and we were so impressed with what they've created in such a stunning location. From start to finish everything was perfect. We were extremely lucky with the weather and the team enjoyed all the watersports at the centre near by, pizza, songs around the campfire, late night chill in the hot tubs, delicious breakfast from the hampers and a lovely walk to Fort Henry. Thank you to Alex & Darren to all their support with the organisation and to Jane for looking after us when we were there. We all have amazing memories and very keen to come back again next year!
