About the neighbourhood
Ford is a peaceful hamlet off the beaten track set on the banks of the river Hants. The cottage is about half a mile out of the village along a dead end road, it is secluded by trees from the main house and so if you are looking for seclusion, this is the place. It is a few miles to the nearest pub in Onecote (only walkable in very dry weather) and about three miles to the nearest shop. With some lovely walking from the front door you won't need to go far, Dovedale and the spectacular Roackhes are just a few mins away by car. A good choice of pubs and restaurants are all close by. There is a lovely farm shop/cafe a 2 mile walk, up hill out of Ford and the new Peak Wildlife Zoo Park is also 2 miles away.
