About the neighbourhood
The local villageof Cenarth has two pubs and a garage, as well as a very nice tea room. Under the lovely old bridge there is a river as well as famous waterfalls. There is a path to walk along the river but more suitable for accustomed walkers, as can be very slippy in the wet weather. There are other attractions such as a ruined castle in the nearby village of Newcastle Emlyn , as well many second hand / Antique shops to wonder round. At Cilgerran, more castle remains can be found, as well as a wid life park with walks to suit all abilities. In Cardigan work a large project is under way to rescue Cardigan Castle.
How to get there
IF YOU HAVE A SAT NAV THE POST CODE FOR BRYN FARM IS SA38 9LE . THOUGH THERE ARE SEVERAL WAYS TO GET TO THE PROPERTY THE EASIEST TO DESCRIBE IS TO FOLLOW THE A484 ROAD FROM CARMARTHEN THROUGH NEWCASTLE EMLYN AND JUST ON EDGE OF CENARTH VILLAGE TAKE A SHARP LEFT (SEE CHURCH ON OPPOSITE SIDE OF ROAD) , TAKE THIS ROAD UP THE HILL FOR A MILE AND SEE A CROSSROADS WITH A TELEPHONE BOX, STAIGHT ACCROSS THIS CROSSRAODS AND FIND THE FARM LANE 100YARDS ON YOUR RIGHT. If using Sat Nav you might end up at above crossroads from a different direction , the farm lane is about 100 yards on the ' penherber ' side of the crossroads
