I have to disagree with some of the comments provided by this guest. The house is over 12 years old, wood gets worn over time and that is the charm. The surrounding trees and shrubbery are deliberately left to hide the house from the beach....More

About the neighbourhood
Immortelle Treehouse is located in the picturesque fishing village of Grande Riviere, on the North Coast of Trinidad. A large river empties itself into the Atlantic ocean and a long stretch of beach is the nesting site for endangered Leatherback Turtles. The beach is protected from April to August. An equatorial type of rain forest dominates the hills and valleys surrounding the village. The area is ideal for bird watching, nature walks, and discovering the local wildlife. There are many other beaches and the area is well frequented by the local surfing community. To reach Grande Riviere from Port of Spain, the capital of Trinidad & Tobago, is about a 3 hour drive.
