Holiday Rental House
The Well House is a romantic, unique and cosy retreat for two, located at the end of a private drive and situated in rolling, unspoilt countryside. The owners have kept much of the property's period details to offer a holiday home that's unlike any other. The 40-foot-deep Well with its glass top is a fascinating central feature that doubles up as the dining table with lights, illuminating the very depths of the Well. There's also a cosy wood-burning stove set in an original brick fireplace and plenty of original exposed timbers and brickwork. Unique little house with many stunning architectural features - ancient beams, carved wooden doors and the original well inside the house. Super cosy with private garden including fire pit and hot tub. Sun trap most of the day. Beautiful setting in open country with lots of birds and wildlife. And yet, just 15 minutes walk from some really great local restaurants in one direction and a lovely country pub in the other. Canal walks and great cycling on the doorstep. Best of all, the hosts Vicki and Stuart are extremely hospitable, welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended. Could not fault this for a lovely week's holiday. Thank you!

We stayed for 4 nights and had an amazing stay. The wellhouse is beautiful inside and out. A small and cosy retreat to hide from the craziness of the world but, within walking distance of pubs, shops and restaurants if you want them. Well decorated, well designed, warm and comfortable. Everything is considered and thought out to cover all choices. Welcome hamper and food were delightful with a bottle of bubbles to celebrate your arrival. Towels, toiletries, food all here on arrival. Even warm fleece blankets to snuggle under after a lovely dip in your own personal hot tub in your private enclosed garden with a lovely chimera. I highly recommend this property and will hope to return again. The owners were amazing and welcoming and their design and preparation from start to end was warm, welcoming and thoughtful.

This was the third time we have stayed at Crossbrook farm in the last year. We chose the Well House this time after taking a peek when we stayed at the Chapel. We certainly were not disappointed. When we arrived the hosts Vicky and Stuart had lit the fire, put carols on the TV, and put together a fantastic welcome hamper. We can't wait to return again in 2022. It is the most relaxing place we have stayed and we have returned fully refreshed every time. The facilities are second to none and the decor and furnishings are top quality. Local pubs and restaurants are just a short pleasant walk away even in the cold. Railway station is the same distance to allow you to explore further away without driving. Never thought that you could keep on improving perfection but Vicky and Stuart seem to have a magic formula!!!!!!

I had the perfect winter getaway at The Well House and cannot recommend it enough. What a welcome to arrive to a warm house complete with indoor lit well, a lovely kitchen hamper, glittering Christmas lights and a steaming hot tub! The recommended local restaurants did not disappoint - especially the Queen's Head and Dick's Smokehouse. I also recommend the local markets in Stratford Upon Avon, as well as the rooftop view from the theatre and the Shakespaw's cat cafe. This is a unique find that ticks all the boxes and I feel lucky to have found it.

We had a fabulous stay at the Well house to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our hosts were great and set the property up with relaxing music, candles and all the little touches that made it feel welcoming and romantic, as well as getting the hot tub (and chiminea and wood-burning stove inside) ready for us on arrival. The property itself was full of features – a beautifully created place. The hamper provided was excellent and we loved the lighting in the property allowing everything from romantic to bright and functional. We especially loved the lighting in the well which is a beautiful feature. We had been given suggestions on eating out before we arrived and had booked at a variety of restaurants for the duration of our stay. We had dinner at Ascotts, Dick’s Smokehouse, Fusos, lunch at the Queens head and breakfast at No 3. All were excellent. We took full advantage of being so close to the Tardebigge Locks and did a lot of walking. We also thoroughly enjoyed and made use of all the wood fired ‘devices’; the Swedish-style hot tub, the chiminea to extend our time outside and the stove inside when it was time to be indoors. Our fire lighting and fire tending skills have definitely improved! Our only suggestion, alongside remembering to bring your swimwear for the hot tub, is to bring footwear to get you from the house to the sauna – the gravel’s a bit sharp underfoot for bare feet.

The Well House was the perfect spot for our minimoon. Vicky and Stuart were accommodating, friendly and exceptionally helpful. They'd also decorated the house with lovely touches to make our stay special. The property was well kitted out and clean with ample amenities. We felt relaxed during our stay and the surrounding areas are lovely too. There are great eateries on the farms doorstep as well as rural walks. Would thoroughly recommend and definitely stay again!

We have just spent 7 nights in this fabulous, unique and quirky property. The location and surroundings are also stunning. You feel away from everything, but only a short walk to many lovely eating and drinking places. The owners, Vicki and Stuart were there to greet us and were both extremely helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend this place and will definitely go back. Loved it 😊

We’ve been back one day and we’re already thinking of our return visit. A truly unique and well designed space to rest your head, cook a BBQ and have a dip in a hot tub. Great surroundings, close to the canal and walking distance from some cracking pubs. To top it off Vicky and Stuart were fantastic hosts - on hand during our stay, great reccos and interesting chat.

The Well House is truly unique! Beautifully and originally decorated, clean and comfortable, with everything you need in perfect condition. The attention to detail is outstanding, from the welcome basket and drinks, to the tea lights, music on entering the house, plenty of logs for the fires and ready to use hot tub. Vicki and Stuart made us feel so welcome that we didn't really want to leave. The Birmingham- Worcester Canal (Tardebigge Canal) is literally 5 minutes's walk from the house and the beautiful Severn Valley is just 20 minutes away by car. It's a walker's paradise! But if you want to just sit and enjoy the grounds surrounding the house then that's great too, specially if you like olive trees as much as I do! If you are looking to get away from the crowds and enjoy the British countryside, this is just perfect. We'd love to go back.

We have just returned from a much needed midweek break at the Well House. We were greeted by the lovely hosts Vicky and Stuart who made us feel welcome. The property is stunning with the well the focal point which is also a feature dining table. We spent a lot of time outdoors enjoying the garden area with fire pit for cosy evenings. The addition of a new wood fired hot tub was also a nice surprise. Crossbrook Farm itself is peaceful and tranquil, a bit of a haven for wildlife. We saw the resident green woodpecker, fox, buzzard, grey herons and more. There are plenty of walks from the property, our favourite being along the Tardebigge locks to the canal side pub The Queens Head for great food and atmosphere. There are also many other places to visit nearby including several National Trust properties. The welcome hamper was much appreciated along with the other little touches which make this property so special. Would not hesitate to recommend this property for a relaxing break. We are looking forward to returning again soon.

Thank you for your kind words and lovely review. We are so pleased you had a wonderful stay. We are glad you managed to see some of the wildlife here. Maybe next time you’ll get to see the Badgers and Deer too! You were lovely guests to have here. Regards Vicki and Stuart
