A 15 minute drive along the coast brings you to the lovely seaside village of Culdaff whilst a 30min drive in the opposite direction will take you into the historic city of Derry. Please note there is no wifi in the cottage. This is one person's heaven and another person's hell so please make sure all that are staying at the cottage are aware so there are no surprises!. Whilst this can be scary (especially for the younger generation) what our guests find is that this is only a good thing as you are able to reconnect with family and friends in time honoured tradition. Resting, relaxing and recuperation is the order of the day at Annie Clare's Cottage.

Spacious fun-filled bungalow
The location is amazing - 5 minute drive from Kinnagoe Bay and only 10 minute drive from a decent shop in the other direction. Very clean, loads of space, great kitchen, comfortable home-from-home with endless entertaining options for inclement weather. We'll be back!

Donegal family staycation 2020
We've just got home from a week at annie Clare's cottage. W.O.W what a beautiful cottage. Stocked with everything you'd need. The views from cottage are lovely with a choice of sea or hill views. Plenty of space for us and comfortable sleeps all round. Located close to the beautiful kinnagoe bay (about 20mins hilly walk or less than 5mins in car) Other beaches close by within car distance. Culduff was lovely too. Would definitely recommend staying here. No wifi wasn't an issue.. surprisingly we didn't hear that dreaded "I'm bored" phrase once.... Thank you for a lovely stay. Xx

Perfect location to unwind!!!!
Three families stayed over a weekend in the beautiful Annie-Clares cottage with Sadie's wishing well in the garden!! A house full of character and fully equipped with everything you can think of for the ultimate home from home experience with added bonuses, games for the kids, record player to take you back in time and books to help you get lost in a WiFi free zone in the middle of the wild Atlantic way!! The beach just down the road helped blow the cobwebs off and a roaring fire waiting on you when you return. Alice and Damian are the perfect hosts opening their doors to help you travel back in time to a simpler existence, so refreshing. We will definitely book again!! 5 stars all around!!!!!

Donegal Magic
Booked this house for a family weekend and was simply amazing. We were met by the owner Damian who had lit the fire for us and showed us around and described everything in great detail (was a real gentleman). The toy room was a hit with the kids as was the dart board for the adults. Also the outside swings and ride ons.The “craic” was great.House was so roomy that no one got in anyone’s way.Alice and Damian had thought of everything to make this house a real family getaway. The view from outside was sheer magic and I would recommend it without doubt. The communication between Alice and myself was top drawer.A weekend just wasn’t long enough to enjoy this house.Hopefully will return.

Fantastic
This cottage is trully like going back in time! No wifi and no telephone signal was bliss and with plenty of indoor and outdoor activities there was no chance you could get bored! It is also set in the most wonderful location beside the magnificant Kinnogoe Bay and ideal driving distances to many of Donegals highlights including Malin Head, Ballyliffen and Buncrana. It also only a 35 minute drive from the lovely city of Derry. We would definitly stay here again!

Perfect for our needs
All the razzamatazz turned out to be accurate! The spaciousness, the supply of indoor games and activities as insurance against poor weather, the quality of services (temperature control, as much hot water as needed, efficient washing machine, plentiful supply of coal and turf for the stove fire) and the charm of the building itself We were out every day but it always felt good getting back! We were personally welcomed on arrival and telephoned on the evening prior to leaving. Great stuff. If I head that way again I will look no further.

Great family location
Thanks to Alice and Damien for the use of their house. We stayed with extended family aged from 8-69 (10 of us) and there was plenty of room. The kitchen is well stocked with every utensil a person might need and the record collection was a great hit with everybody! Kinnagoe Bay is a beautiful beach and we ate in Rosato's as recommended by Damien and had a great meal in a lovely traditional pub (staff so friendly and service great). We'll be back Kinnagoe way in the future for sure!

What a wonderful base for a holiday for an extended family!
Annie Clare's Cottage is a bit like Dr Who's Tardis - you have no idea how big and roomy it is until you get inside. The "cottage" is in fact two houses custombuilt together to provide one unit with the advantage that two families could holiday there together without getting in each other's way. Despite the fact that from the outside it looks like a traditional Irish cottage it is in fact fully double-glazed and has oil-fired central heating, as well as a fully fitted kitchen with more than ample supplies of crockery and cutlery. The main living area has an open fire with ample seating, and is overlooked by a mezzanine floor/gallery which is also fully furnished and boasts a substantial library and record collection - just the place to retire with a book if things get too hectic at the fireside. For in-house entertainment there is a dart board, pool table, table tennis and air hockey should the weather be inclement. The bedrooms (sleeps 12) are spaced at the extemities of the house so that those wanting an early night or afternoon nap can slip away. Oh, lest I forget, the views are fabulous and the property is less than one kilometre from the beautiful Kinnegoe beach. If you want to rent somewhere for a memorable extended family break or a reunion of friends, Annie Clare's Cottage is the place to go. We will be going back.

About the neighbourhood
Greencastle is the local fishing port with bustling pubs and beautiful walks along Lough Foyle. Moville provided an array of night-life and restaurants and a seashore playpark for kids. Kinnagoe Bay is a secluded beach known for being the location of the wreck of the Spanish Armada ship 'Trinidad Valencera' in 1588; in memory of which a plaque is mounted. The beach is accessible by a weaving road from the top of the hill. There are local golf courses in Ballyliffen and Greencastle which are short drives away. The ferry port in Greencastle runs hourly ferries to Magilligan providing a gateway to the North coast seaside resorts of Portstewart and Portrush. There is horse riding available in Lenamore stablesand day trips to Doagh visitor centre and Inch Island are definitely worth a visit. Kayaking trips are also available in nearby Moville.
