We were sad to leave this place!
We loved the cabin. It was clean, very cute, smelled lovely and was in such a peaceful location. Kids loved their room and the fluffy toys! Tony and Deb are great hosts - always responded to queries quickly. We loved the complimentary Welsh cakes and biscuits they left for us 😊. Will definitely visit again and have already recommended to friends.

Another wonderful stay in this lovely comfortable cabin!
This is our second visit to Caban Dan Y Ser and it was just as enjoyable as the first one. In fact we've booked it again for next year! We really enjoyed our stay in this very clean, comfortable and well-equipped cabin. It has everything you need in the kitchen and bathroom and being able to watch Netflix on the Smart TV was an added bonus. The views from the decking are wonderful and the holiday village is clean and very dog friendly, with an enclosed dog-walking area where you can let your dog off the lead. Plenty of space in the cabin and lots of information on the local area. The cabin is very dog-friendly with bowls and throws for the sofas. Thanks for the teapot too Tony and Deb - we really enjoyed our cuppas and the lovely welcome goodies. We look forward to returning next year. Jacqui, Eric and Benji x

Lovely, well organised holiday let
Just had a short break at Caban Dan Y Ser. Lovely, clean log cabin and extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The owners have obviously taken a lot of time and effort to compile a very helpful booklet explaining how to use everything in the cabin and also very useful suggestions for things to do and places to visit in the area. We really couldn't have asked for any more! They even left us a lovely bottle of wine as it was our wedding anniversary (so thoughtful). I would definitely visit again - a perfect base for some quality time away set in a beautiful part of Wales.

Excellent
It was a lovely clean place. The owners are amazing people Tony and Deb. They always replied to my questions before my trip and when I arrived it was a really clean and tidy cabin. Everything was available that I needed for my stay and I would like to say thank you for decorating the cabin for my daughters birthday she really was soo happy and it made the whole stay really amazing. I can't state how helpful the owners where and they never once ignored any of my messages. I would most definitely book this cabin again.

Lovely cabin, great location - would highly recommend!
This was our first visit to this cabin in the Trawsfynydd holiday village and we were very impressed with the location, facilities, home comforts and the welcome given to pets. The cabin is very clean, well-equipped and very comfortable - it felt like a real home from home. The kitchen facilities were excellent though the addition of a teapot for tea drinkers would have made it perfect! The views from the terrace are wonderful and the cabin's location so near to Coed-y-Brenin Forest Park was great for us. The village is quiet and very clean and an added bonus was the enclosed dog-walking area, great for your furry companions. Thanks Tony and Deb for a great stay - the bottle of wine was a lovely touch too!

Smashing stay
We came for a return visit and as usual brought the rain. It does not stop us for long and the cabin is cosy and warm even on the coldest days. Oh but when it's sunny it's fabulous too! The walks, the towns near by. There's loads to do. Deb suggested Aberdovey and it's one of the nicest towns we have been to! Taking Effie our dog is brilliant and she settled in easily 2nd time. Effie loves her walk right around the village +through the park at the bottom. The cabin has all we needed. It's clean and perfectly set out.. We really enjoy it and Deb and Tony are always a call away if any questions. We are sure to return 😊... Unless we move there!

Perfect cabin
What a great place! The cabin was amazing, modern and very clean with everything you needed. Tony & Deb are very good hosts, always keeping in contact & there to andwer anything straight away, supplying helpful maps and a guide book showing all local things to do during your stay with shops, pubs, petrol stations near by too. We had a baby with us and felt very happy coming in and seeing the place had baby proof appliances (plug socket protectors etc) and toys were also there which he soon found! There was great views too from the balcony! I would certainly recommend staying here and we will be looking to coming back too!

Excellent cabin in a fab location
Really enjoyed our Easter weekend at this cabin, it had everything we needed and was lovely and clean inside. The location is amazing with the best views you could ask for! Tony and Deb were very helpful and made sure we knew all about the local area including where the nearest pub was and the best waterfalls. They even allowed us to check out late so I could do an egg hunt for my son. Thanks so much and we will definitely be retiring in the summer!

About the neighbourhood
Snowdonia is a region in north west Wales around the mountains and glacial landforms of the massive Snowdonia National Park. This area is home to an extensive network of trails, over one hundred lakes and craggy peaks like Cader Idris, Tryfan and the Rhinog Mountains. There are picturesque bays and beaches nearby. For the more adventurous, Blaenau Ffestiniog has one of the worlds highest and fastest zip lines and unique underground trampolining ('Bounce Below'). Trawsfynydd Lake offers great fishing, or hire a boat at Barmouth for some sea fishing. The area is awash with Roman ruins and medieval castles to explore.

How to get there
The holiday village is situated three miles south of Trawsfynydd, on the A470 between Dolgellau and Porthmadog. If coming via Bala and using a SatNav, beware, it may direct you along a narrow gated road off the A494 near Llanuwchllyn. Though very pretty, this is a long and winding road! On turning off the A470 at Bronaber (the holiday village is signposted) proceed up the hill and follow the sign to the right directing you towards the Reception building. Drive past Reception to where the road forks to the left, turn sharp left and Cabin 81 is in front of you on the right hand side. Please park on the private gravelled parking area.
