A lovely, comfortable little beach house for a relaxing kick-back. Fantastic large back terrace is paved and has a brick-built bbq. Child-friendly (fully enclosed, v close to beach and restaurants). Brand new appliances and beds, a well-provisioned house (hairdryer, kettle, toaster, etc etc). NOW WITH WIFI !!! (included for FREE in 2016 prices)

PLEASE NOTE: Owner (responding to HolidayLettings/TripAdvisor requests, is now located in Asia, and therefore on different time zone, please allow longer for responses! Manageress is local and once booking and arrival details are confirmed, contact is passed to her.

2 bedrooms: one sleeps 3 people (1 single, 1 double-bed) and the other has a double bed.

A lovely house. Very close to the beach. The house has everything you need and was very clean and comfortable. The front and back garden are wonderful for lazy afternoons and al fresco dining. We had a great time in Casa de Alison.

We were here in the off season so most of the summer places were closed. The up side is that the beach was almost deserted save some surfers, fishers and local dog walkers. And what a beach! Long and wide with beautiful sand. Perfect for leisurely walks, photos and sunsets. A great little pizza place (open weekends during our visit)...

Our family of 5 (3 kids ages 12, 9, and 8) stayed at Casa de Alison over Spring Break and had a lovely time. Our mistake was arriving in the dark which added challenges for finding landmarks listed on the directions but we contacted Alice and she was most helpful. The house was clean, well supplied, and the bathroom newly...

Cleaning fee of 25 GBP (30 euro) added for rentals less than 7 days, OR an uplift of 40 GBP (50 euro) if booking is only for 2 nights. Discount may be available for parties of 2 guests or less, or bookings > 7 days. Standard prices are for up to 4 guests, small additional fee per night for 5th guest.
Optional Extras if desired (Paid for on arrival): Beach Towel/Yoga Mat rental 5 euro. Childrens box rental 10 euro (for whole stay). Damage deposit held by Holiday Lettings, house must be returned in 'Broomswept condition' and all rubbish removed. Check-in and check-out times can be flexible if there is no changeover on the same day, please advise if you require check-in before 17.00 or check out after 11am.

About the neighbourhood
The area has not suffered from the over-development that characterises some of the other Spanish Costas despite having some of the most spectacular beaches in Spain, backed, not by ribbons of development, but by sand dunes, marshland, farmland and dense pine forests. With an average of 3200 hours of sunshine per year (the highest in Spain) and cooling sea breezes off the Atlantic ocean, it is a haven for holidays at all times of the year.

Between late June and early September, the Costa de la Luz is still largely the preserve of Spanish holidaymakers. Out of high summer season (and except for Easter) there are few tourists, though the weather in Spring and Autumn is often perfect.

How to get there
Access to the area is easy via a number of airports - the nearest, Jerez, is about 40 minutes drive away, whilst Seville (1.5 hours), Gibraltar (90 mins) and Malaga (less than 3 hours) and Faro in Portugal (3 hours) are all convenient and are served by a number of different airlines. Travel costs, especially during mid-week or out of high season, can be incredibly cheap if booked well in advance (e.g. return fares by Ryanair to Jerez & Seville from UK for less than £40 return are commonplace).

Car hire - I recommend DoYouSpain com for very good value (approx 10 GBP per day!). They generally use Firefly, which in turn often uses Hertz cars.
