APPARTAMENTO SAX TENORE - Marinella Pomonte LOCATION: the house, completely renovated in recent years, is located a few meters from the smooth white granite cliffs and the main beach of Pomonte, in pebbles and gravel of various sizes, which characterize the towns of Pomonte and Chiessi, small gems on the western coast of the Island of Elba, the Costa del Sole, on the border between the Municipality of Marciana and the Municipality of Campo nell’Elba. You will really have the sea just a few steps away! We also have other properties for rent spread throughout the town. You will really have the sea just a few steps away! We also have other properties for rent spread throughout the town. THE ROOMS: Sax Tenore is on the raised ground floor of a 2-storey villa, both of which we own and are renting for holidays (on the first floor the apartment Sax Soprano), it has up to 6 beds (+1 possible cot for newborns) distributed as follows: - main double bedroom with the possibility of adding a cot for babies (with satellite TV) - second double bedroom with double bed - third bedroom / living room with sofa bed that turns into 2 single beds (with SMART TV and satellite channels) All the rooms can also be accessed externally from the balcony connected to the entrance courtyard so as to have complete independence of all the rooms even if the living room is occupied as a third bedroom. - 2 full bathrooms both with shower and bidet, (with ante-bathroom) - eat-in kitchen with induction hob, fan oven, dishwasher, microwave oven, fridge, freezer, with full supply of dishes and pots for 6 people, with internal table - external laundry room with washing machine and sink THE SEA VIEW GARDEN: From the kitchen you access the terraced garden with sea view reserved for the Sax Tenore Apartment, with an external table for 6 people under a shading pergola, sun loungers, large umbrella for the hottest period, a comfortable cold external shower to rinse off the salt when returning from the sea. Going down a few steps you access a small terrace for aperitifs with a sea view and a view of the sunset over Corsica, equipped with a charcoal stone barbecue grill. The garden also has independent access from the public pedestrian street of Via dei Musicanti. COMFORT AND SYSTEMS: The apartment has air conditioning in all rooms, 1 satellite TV, 1 satellite SMART TV, free WIFI. The house is completely Full Electric, powered in part by a photovoltaic solar system and a solar thermal system for domestic hot water (new installation in 2024) with hot water storage up to 300 liters and recirculation system for instant hot water immediately from the tap. New water softener installed in 2024. PARKING: The house cannot be reached by car, it is located on an exclusively pedestrian street paved in granite, so it does not have a private car park in the immediate vicinity. However, in the village there are public car parks and free street parking spaces where you can leave your vehicle indefinitely without worries, located from 2 minutes to a maximum of 5-7 minutes on foot from the apartment. For guests who absolutely need a reserved parking space, there is the possibility of renting an unshaded parking space in the most central area of the village (check availability depending on the period). PET FRIENDLY: Animals are welcome if they are used to living in an apartment and cannot be abandoned in the house or in the garden alone without the presence of their owners. On the Island of Elba you can take your four-legged friends to almost all the beaches, even to the bathing establishments, respecting a few simple rules on bathing (which vary depending on the municipality and on which we will give you more information), you can take them with you to the shops, restaurants and above all on our beautiful paths where they will certainly be happier. FERRY DISCOUNTS: After booking you will be sent the information for booking ferry tickets at discounted prices. POMONTE Pomonte is a characteristic seaside village divided between the Municipalities of Marciana and Campo nell’Elba, on the western coast of the Island of Elba, known for tourism as the Costa del Sole, which from the slopes of Monte Capanne lies on the sea revealing a land characterized by a rich biodiversity, warmed by the sun until its unmissable breathtaking sunset on Corsica. Pomonte is a picturesque village divided between the sea and the mountains that form a precious frame to the valley of the same name, crossed by ditches, streams and old mule tracks, now transformed into paths for hikers among the Mediterranean scrub that historically allowed the peasant inhabitants to reach the persistent terraces cultivated with heroic vineyards. Pomonte is also a perfect base for visiting Elba and its thousand natural facets, with a return home galvanized by the most beautiful sunset visible on the Island. THE WRECK The main attraction of Pomonte is the Elviscot Wreck, a merchant ship that sank in 1972 near the Ogliera rock.
