This is a really, really, nice place to stay, a very warm welcome from Fiona who showed us around and advised us of the appliances, heating etc., We were a party of four and each of our bedrooms were excellent, massive beds, and plenty of storage for our clothes. The views from this apartment are fantastic, second to none, changing with every minute due to different weather conditions. Area is lovely for exploring, you do need a car, but who goes to Scotland without a car? Did some lovely walks, around Knapdale forest for the Beavers, & saw 3 sea eagles above the apartment. The apartment is beautifully tiled throughout with Travertine tiles. Bedroom 1 can be made up as three single beds or a single bed and a king size double bed. Bedroom 2 has a king size double bed.Just across the spacious hallway is the family bathroom which is fully tiled and has a bath with a shower over it. The open plan kitchen, dining room and sitting room has patio doors leading onto the decking area overlooking the views. Bedroom 2 has an en-suite, fully tiled wet room shower.

About the neighbourhood
The nearby villages of Ardfern and Kilmelford have small village shops where essentials can be purchased.

Oban is the main shopping centre and is a pleasant half hour drive from Traighuaine. It has a selection of supermarkets and, whilst it doesn't boast any of the large chain stores, it has a good selection of shops and is an attractive, seaside town well worth visiting.

Oban hosts the Provincial Mod every year, which celebrates the Gaelic language, music and culture. The well known Oban Games are held every year in August. For something unique, the World Stone Skimming Championship, which attracts in the region of 300 competitors, is held annually on the tiny island of Easdale, which once produced slate.
