Très bonne location

Venu visiter le Portugal en famille, nous avons séjourné 15 jours à Casa de Olival. La location correspond en tout point au site et nous n'avons eu aucune mauvaise surprise (aménagement, propreté, piscine). Le gite est idéalement situé pour sillonner la région. De plus Tania et Steve sont des personnes charmantes et mettent tout en oeuvre pour que vos vacances se déroulent dans les meilleures conditions (sites à visiter, moyens pour y accéder, restaurants sympas à tester ...) Nous avons passé de superbes vacances et avons adoré le Portugal et les Portugais qui sont des personnes très accueillantes. Nous recommandons Casa de Olival à toutes les personnes qui souhaitent visiter Ansiao et ses environs. Amicalement.

Un petit coin de paradis

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour. Tania nous a réservé un bel accueil. Toujours disponible, souriante et d'une gentillesse incroyable !! Le cottage a très bien été pensé. Une terrasse fait tout le tour, abritée par le toit. De cette façon, le soleil ne rentre pas dans la maison et permet de conserver la fraicheur quand il fait très chaud à l'extérieur. Bel espace pour manger à l'extérieur, barbecue à coté. Petite terrasse avec 2 transats et un hamac un peu à l'écart où il est très agréable de se reposer. Dans la maison, vous trouverez tout ce dont vous avez besoin. Même la glacière, les sacs pour faire les courses, les jeux pour la plage ... La vaisselle est en nombre suffisant et il y a même les tupperwares pour faire des glaces. Le salon est très agréable. TV, console de jeux, jeux de société, livres... Grande armoire dans chaque chambre, literie confortable. Excellentes baignades dans la piscine, bouées mises à disposition. Transat, parasol. Le cottage est dans un petit village, et la voiture est nécessaire pour faire des courses ou acheter du pain. Ansiao est à 5 mn en voiture. Il y a un Intermarché avec des prix de fruits et légumes et de viande très intéressants. Nous avons passé un super séjour, où pour la 1ère fois j'ai réussi à vraiment me reposer !! A part le chant des cigales, pas un bruit, et ça fait du bien !! Nous avons pour habitude de ne jamais retourner au même endroit, mais il est sur et certain que nous retournerons chez Tania et Steeve !!

excellent accueil de Tania très attentionnée, gîte TB : calme, propreté, équipements, linge fourni gite répondant tout à fait à notre attente,sauf 2 petits points : * la puissance du wifi laisse à désirer, difficile de se connecter. * la 2ème salle d'eau est à l'extérieur, ce qui n'était pas mentionné. gîte à recommander.

Nous nous excusons à nouveau pour le problème temporaire que vous avez vécu avec le wifi et pouvons assurer futurs clients que ce ne soit plus un problème .... équipement défectueux a été remplacé et le service est encore mieux qu'avant. Quant à la 2e salle de bain étant à l'extérieur ... nous pouvons seulement dire désolé pour tout malentendu et de confirmer que cette information est indiquée sur notre description de la propriété comme suit ~ '' Il ya une salle de bain située dans la Maison avec une grande douche de plain-pied, lavabo et toilettes. Serviettes de bain sont fournis, mais uniquement pour une utilisation dans la propriété. Serviettes de bain supplémentaires sont également disponibles qui peuvent être utilisés pour la plage. Terrasse privée et une véranda avec salle à manger à l'extérieur. Aussi, à l'extérieur il ya un WC supplémentaire et le bloc de douche pour votre commodité. '' Nous allons changer la description de rendre ceci plus clair. Nous vous remercions pour votre avis et nous sommes heureux que vous avez apprécié votre séjour. Nous nous félicitons des commentaires qui peuvent nous aider à améliorer ce que nous offrons.

Fantastic accomodation and great hosts

The property js immaculately clean. The facilities wee great and enabled us to create some great memories as a family. The location is near to local amenities and river beaches, with the accommodation set in a lovely peaceful and quiet area. We will definitely be returning in the very near future.

Fabulous place, fabulous owners

Just stayed at Casa de Olival. Absolutely fabulous! The house is clean, bright, well equipped and warm. The kids enjoyed the pool whilst we enjoyed the peace and quiet. The owners, Steve and Tania, are very friendly and accommodating. Steve lit the wood oven one day for us and helped us cook our own pizzas. The dogs are a delight. A car is essential to reach this house and to go to the local shops and bars but the house is in a central location to explore Central Portugal. The house is also equipped with TV and DVDs plus WiFi. there is a helpful resource book and lots of information on what to do. Their Facebook page also gives helpful info. Many thanks for a lovely stay.

More than Excellent

More than excellent and as nice as the other previous reviews state and with a more than helpful host's / owners of the property , thanks Steve & Tania . If you want a peaceful self catering place to stay , this is it and not to far a drive from the attractions at the centre of Portugal in all directions .

Just when you thought it couldnt get better!!!!

This was our second stay at this delightful property. Even better second time around. We stayed here last year but only for one week. We enjoyed it so much we all agreed we had to rebook. This time we stayed for two weeks. Once again we fell in love with the peaceful surroundings and the relaxing homely feeling you have in the house. Even though we had been before with Tania and Steves help and being in a central spot we were able to make a different holiday once again. We did visit a couple of our favourite beaches but were able to discover lots of other great family days out. The beautiful scenery of the river beaches and the historical towns make this truely a holiday with a difference. If you enjoy close family fun and making special memories this is the place to be. The value for money from start to finish for a quality holiday is unbelievable. Once again, thanks to to Tania and Steve for making our holiday so special. Hope to see you again in the future.

Perfect location torelax & enjoy rural Portugal

It was my second time at Casa de Olival and again I had the most wonderful time. My first stay was in September 2013 just before the olive harvest and I really enjoyed the peace and quiet. Now I came back in spring and was amazed at the different looking scenery. Tania and Steve are wonderful and thoughtful hosts and I felt immediately comfortable and at home. The house is really well equiped and decorated with love to detail. The fireplace added extra warmth to the stay as the nights can be chilly in spring. I took long walks, made a trip to the beach, visited some roman ruins and just relaxed on the sun bench. I will definitely be back another time! Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

It was great to have another repeat guest and very interesting to hear their views of how different it all looks here with a different season. Amazing!! Rebooked August 2014

We stayed at Casa De Olival in August 2013. After having a special holiday in Florida the year before with our 13 year old twin boys. My husband and I wondered if we would be able to match such a good time. However, we need not of worried as we all had the most amazing time. The boys loved it as did my husband because we found the prices in restaurants and supermarkets very reasonable. It is set in beautiful peaceful surroundings but within easy reach to fabulous beaches (about 40 mins by car) and close to picturesque country river beaches. Not only does it have the perfect setting for a get away from it all holiday but extras like the pool, football nets,football table, games, books and ps2 make it truely a home from home. A brilliant place for close family fun we have some lovely memories of our time there. Tania and Steve are the perfect hosts with lots of information and always on hand to ask any questions. We had a fabulous pizza oven night and lots of tasty barbeques. Oh and we have to mention the adorable dogs who added character to this delightful place. We were only home a couple of weeks and we all agreed we just had to go back. Can't wait for next August.

Having holidayed ourselves with a young family in past years we found we preferred to stay in self catering accommodation set in more private settings, as opposed to commercial Hotels catering for the masses. Some of the best places we have stayed in had furnishings and personal items such as DVD's, books, local and Tourist information etc which really made it feel like you were staying in a home rather than an empty, sparsely furnished apartment. So, with all that in mind this is what we have set out to provide with our Holiday home and gardens. Reading reviews like this makes us feel like it is all worth while. We hope when this family returns we will have more information and improvements to further enhance their holiday experience here at home and in the surrounding areas. Cam and Brad ~ the dogs and pool are waiting for you !!!

Set in 1 acre of Olive grove, very peaceful with good walks in the immediate area. Located in a small Hamlet in beautiful Central Portugal. 2Km outside the market Town of Ansiao. Surrounded by tranquil Pine and Eucalyptus woods ideal for nature walks and Bird watching. Peaceful and relaxing for the perfect Holiday yet minutes away from all the amenities that the Market Town of Ansião has to offer. 40 kms to nearest beach on the Silvercoast - or beautiful river beaches closer to home for you to discover. Ansiao and the area has plenty of Festas in the summer with a good choice of bars and restaurants. We also provide an Information book with recommendations for local restaurants and Bars for you to visit. The university Town of Coimbra is 30 minutes drive with good shopping and a beautiful City to explore on the river. You also have historic Tomar, Coninbriga and Dornes to explore to name just a few sites. Stunning scenary where-ever you go . Car is highly recommended for getting about. You also have the Roman ruins at Conimbriga Caves and Water Park at Mira de Aire Water Park at Pombal Water Park at Castanheira da Pera Pilgrim Town of Fatima The list is not exhaustive and we provide more information on your Holiday if needed.

How to get there

Located between Lisbon and Porto - with good motorway connections - we suggest the A1 from both destinations. Come off at Junction 10 for Pombal - then follow the IC8 till you get to Ansiao / Sarzedela exit. Turn left to Sarzedela the 3rd exit at the roundabout to Santiago de Guarda. Follow this road and take the left hand turning to Pinheiro. Again, follow this till you see a house with green gates, turn left then immediate right done the lane. We are 100 metres on the right Nearest Airport : Lisbon at 115 Miles Nearest Ferry : Santander at 449 Miles Nearest Train : Pombal at 13 Miles
