super clean, warm and welcoming!
what a lovely property, first thoughts are always how clean and homely it feels when we arrived. It is located perfectly for trips into Swansea or Cardiff and has plenty of local attractions to enjoy. I would highly recommend Mountain view as the perfect place to stay when visiting.

Mountain view
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The property was clean and well presented. The owner was helpful and accommodating. There was plenty to do close by with a beautiful beach at Aberavon with play areas and Francos where we had a lovely fish and chips. Margam country park is also close by we had a lovely time there as there was lots to do. The property is situated near to plenty of local amenities.

About the neighbourhood
The beach at Aberavon offers something for everyone, with open, grassy areas, dunes, adventure golf, free splash pool, cafes, takeaways, skateboard park and an excellent children’s playground. Aberavon beach is also a popular surfing hotspot, and a surf school operates during the summer holidays. Fishing from the beach is also a popular pastime. There is also a multiplex cinema and a leisure centre nearby. There is ample parking, which is either inexpensive or free. Margam is well-placed from which to explore the vibrant city life of Swansea, picturesque Mumbles, with its promenade, pier, castle and lighthouse, and on to the Gower Peninsula, Britain’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Getting around
The property lies between 2 m4 junctions, just minutes from each but not close enough to be disturbed by them. It’s a 10 minute drive to the town centre and to Aberafan beach. Port Talbot boosts a Bus station and a Railway station, all within 10 minute drive of the property

How to get there
The property sits on the edge of Margam in the town of Port Talbot. Port Talbot boosts an indoor shopping centre as well as many individual shops & cafes throughout the town. Port Talbot has its own Library and benefits from its newly refurbished railway station, Port Talbot Parkway. Just on the outskirts of the Town there is a Cinema and many well known restaurants. Aberavon seafront is a 10 minute car drive away and the popular family day out at Margam Country Park is also a 10 minute drive. The property is ideally situated if you are looking to explore South & West Wales benefiting from being located between both Cardiff to the East and Swansea and the Gower to the West. Both these areas can be accessed via the m4 Junction 38 & 41 which are both within a 5 minute car drive of this property. There is also a main bus station at Port Talbot which services both Swansea, Cardiff & beyond Alternatlively, there is so much to keep you busy during a visit to Afan Forest Park. The fantastic landscape offers lots of opportunities to get out and experience nature. There are excellent mountain biking, cycling and walking trails for visitors to enjoy.Waterfall Country Nowhere else in Wales is there such a richness and diversity of waterfalls within such a small area as can be found in the Vale of Neath. This abundance has led to the region becoming known as ‘Waterfall Country’. The Vale of Neath is Brown Signed from M4 Junction 43. Aberdulais Tinworks and Waterfall For over 400 years, this famous waterfall provided the energy to drive the wheels of industry, from the manufacture of copper in 1584 to the later tinplate works. Today, the waterwheel is the largest currently used in Europe to generate electricity which makes Aberdulais Falls self-sufficient in environmentally-friendly energy. Now owned by the National Trust.
