A perfectly located self-catering holiday property on Wootton Bridge, Wootton Bridge Cottage is a perfect home to base your stay on the Isle of Wight. To the downstairs of the property to will find a cloakroom, a comfortable lounge with easy seating for 5, a dining room that leads in to the well equipped kitchen with door to the spacious rear garden that has a table and chairs perfect for alfresco dining.. There are stairs to the first floor, at the top if you turn left you will find the spacious master bedroom with TV and lakeside views, if you turn right you will find the family bathroom with shower over bath. Further along the landing you will find the twin bedroom also with lakeside views and a single bedroom overlooking the garden.

Save your money
This could of been a nice house. Unfortunately it was very dirty, hairs on pillows, kitchen tap dirty, chair seats stained, cushions stained, microwave had something growing inside. It is on a very busy road, so you can not have bedroom windows open, to noisy. The neighbours partied from 9pm to 5am first night so no sleep. Then next night neighbours were arguing and swearing. No sleep again. Plates were sticky and the can opener was mouldy. Unfortunately we didn't tell the holiday company while we was staying as it would of meant calling them every day to report something else we found. Because of this they refused to compensate us and Sara the holiday manager was very rude. Her awnser was we should of reported while staying. We paid over £1000 to stay there and surly you would not expect such service. I think Sara would benefit from a training course on how to speak to customers. I hope the issus are sorted before the next people stay. My advice would be stay away from house and do not use the company..

Dear Jill,
Unfortunately you didn’t bring any items to our attention until 3 days after you departed the property. Had you of contacted us whilst in residence we would have attended to your issues straight away. We genuinely want guests to enjoy their stay.
When you did write to us, not only were you extremely rude and aggressive, you made it very clear that you were contacting us to see what we were going to give you as a refund before you wrote a public review. This was a very disappointing correspondence to have received. We responded to explain the booking terms and conditions you agreed to when booking and also explained you didn’t bring anything to our attention whilst you staying at the property. We then received more correspondence from you saying you were going to write us a very bad and public review as you wanted money back. You felt you had wasted your money staying this particular property,a property you had stayed at before. We didn’t give you any money back as we politely explained we will not give money back to guests in order to receive a good review.
True to your word you have written a bad review, whilst we find this disappointing we still stand by our word of not providing money back to guests in order to receive a good review on a property.

AMAZING
Amazing, great communication from the word go, even with my silly questions!!! The house we rented was perfect, clean, tidy, spacious, comfortable, perfect location, home from home with a lovely welcome grocery pack.
Would definitely use again, thank you for a great holiday

Well located Well Maintained family house
Located in Wotton Bridge this is an ideal location - literally 4 minutes from the ferry. This was our second stay and the house is very well appointed, clean, tidy and well maintained. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped and the house very comfortable. With off street parking and a secure garden I can highly recommend it.

Home from home
Stayed here as attended a Family wedding at the Lakeside Hotel. Location was perfect for us as we didnt have a car. Near bus stops, pub,hotel, tescos and 3 takeaways. House was very clean and few little welcome bits which is a nice touch and everything you could possibly need/want int the house. Even had sky tv, excellent wifi which is good for teenagers!! 3 good size bedrooms and quite apart so can feel your own space.

Excellant base for exploring the Island.
From the moment we open the door it was evident that the house was in an excellant condition. Three great bedrooms, living room . Kitchen was clean and although we had a problem with the oven one evening, it was replaced with a new one by 9.45 am the day, excellant service. Large enough rear garden for our 3 Yorkshire Terriers. Nice position for a base to explore the island from and close to two ferry routes. 15 minutes car journey to Ryde Beach. Would recommend a visit to the Isle of Wight Steam Railway.

About the neighbourhood
Wootton is a pretty village located between Ryde and Newport on the Isle of Wight and close to the main Wightlink ferry terminal of Fishbourne. The village is set on a creek popular with boaters and yachtsmen as well as areas of beautiful countryside, offering shops including a Tesco express, and various pubs and restaurants to choose from including is the Lakeside Hotel with its brasserie and day spa, complete with indoor pool – it is advised to book ahead for treatments. There are many sandy beaches in nearby Ryde as well as a wide selection of shops and eateries or Newport the Islands capital in the opposite direction that offers lots of shops, restaurants and also a multiplex cinema.
Getting around
The property has a variety of shops and eateries on the doorstep as well as a lovely spa across the way by the lake.
Ryde is really close by as is Newport and East Cowes, you can either drive to them or take a trip on a bus and explore the Island.

Due to the location of the house it is very well served on bus routes and cab fares are really reasonable too.
