We chose La Bodega for its location in a small village near the volcanic area and far from the resorts, and it proved to be exactly what we wanted. The jacuzzi clinched it for us, and made it worth the extra cost, especially in January .
La Bodega is converted from part of a lovely old farmhouse, retaining lots of original features combined with well-designed modern facilities. This makes it a very characterful, spacious place to stay with the marvellous bonus of the heated jacuzzi and pool.
The twin bedroom is up a lot of stairs - perhaps not suitable for little children or for people with limited mobility, but it's a lovely room with marvellous views when you get there. The double room is on the ground floor with easy access.
We received a warm welcome from Petra and she made sure we had everything we needed. January can be a bit cold and dark in the evenings, but Petra is happy to provide extra heaters and lights.
Overall it's pleasure to stay...
